Kids every day, of all ages play sports, whether it be a fun game with their friends or organized through their school. Sports themselves are great, they promote countless benefits and encourage players. However, once schools get involved things change. The School District has been funding the athletics program, which has been benefiting many of the students’ lives for several years. The discontinuation of high school sports will cause many students to loose the health, social and educational benefits provided by participating in athletics. School sports are a reason for failing grades; on the other hand, there are many positive benefits to having them in schools.

If they cut the sports, then it’s not fair to the students that are graduating because they could of had a chance to get a scholarship. If the schools cut the sports, then there is no chance for the students.

Sports a big part of American kids lives today. Too big actually. So many kids are involved in sports that are hurting their lives more than helping them! Every year sports take up money that schools should be spending on teachers. Sports cause children to focus more on sports than school!

In this essay, I will be talking about letting sixth graders play advanced sports like other grades do. Countless schools in the United States have a strict rule that sixth graders are not allowed to get involved in after-school activities, which many young students argue against.
