When we talk about fighting with the weapon of God, it's not worldly weapons, but spiritual weapons. The Word of God is our spiritual weapon that will firstly allow us to walk with the Word of God inside our hearts as we study God's Word. We have a purpose of spreading the good news of God in order to fight against the evil one who has confused so many to deny the truth. God is the truth and with the Word of God we are able to speak the truth into other's lives. People are always looking for proof before they can believe in something, but with God we first need to believe in Jesus Christ before we can receive eternal life from God.
It is written in the book of 2 Corinthians ch10 v3-v5 (NLT) v3 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. v4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. v5 We destroy every

God's Word was made for us to use it; we can learn about His ways and see where we are going wrong. This will allow us to walk in the ways of the Lord by applying His Word to our daily lives. It is so important that we live out God's Word, if we simply read the Holy Bible, then we are learning about God. When we live out God's Word, which is when we imitate God. We need to learn about God, but walking in God's ways is even more important. We need to follow God's commands and walk righteously in God's ways.
It is written in the book of James ch1 v22 v25 (NLT) v22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. v23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. v24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. v25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing
For instance, when he stated in paragraph 6 "Thus all you that never passed under a great change of heart, by the mighty power of the spirit of God upon your soul, all you that were never born again, and made new creatures and raised from dead in sin, to a state of new, and before altogether unexperienced light life, are in the hands of an angry God". This shows if you don't change when God is asking you to, you will never rise again because your being disobedient. God will crush you in the palm of his hands. Just like you crushed his harmless creature. The Sermon also informs the sinner that if you don't apply by God rules you will be death
And He will not judge by what His eyes see, Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; 4But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth ; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His
And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice
The verse reads: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their
Thus, forcing the idea that there is a way to be saved from God's judgment; and that way is through the direct following of the principles and commandments outlined through the word of
1) The way a winner runs (v24) “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it” • Zeal o Romans 12:11, “Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.” o Titus 2:14, “Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” • Commitment o Romans 6:13, “Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness.” • Focus o Phil 3:12-14, “Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my
In this verse this means that is the responsibility of a believer to let the world see God's word
“ It was not God’s proclamation that final injustice. That rules the world below makes no such laws.... The immortal unrecorded laws of God. They are not merely now: they were, and shall be, Operative forever, beyond man utterly.” (60-64: 982).
Have you ever had a problem carry your life? The key that unlocks the door in this verse is interesting and simple it is to obey what the Lord tells you. Whether it makes sense or not — you are to obey! The moment we begin to obey we enter into a new life to gain momentum and strength. We no longer view things from what once previously paralyzed us.
For as long as we have lived, our nation has developed an ideology that we were created to seek revenge and retaliate to those who have wronged us. Although, the act of revenge is not the solution to our problems, we still desire to inflict torment on each and every individual that we feel deserves it. However, this is not the only problem that we face today, America is a multicultural place where people believe in different practices and become prejudice to the diverse religions. In the book, “Strength to Love” written by Martin Luther King Jr., the American religious experience is in the strength to forgive and love one another. As a whole we must be open-minded and accept the differences in cultures we are exposed to with a tough mind and a tender heart.
Jesus Christ’s life and teachings are the guide to peace in this life and joy in eternity. The gospel of Jesus Christ blesses all who accept and live it. God reveals his gospel through the use of prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses. The Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ states, “Prophets teach us about God and are special witnesses of Jesus Christ, receive revelation or direction from the Lord, and teach the gospel to the world and interpret the word of God (4).” Prophets receive the priesthood and act in the name of God to lead his children.
You have given me every tool to fight against him. I know even as I combat the slings and arrows of a fallen world and a cunning enemy, that You are there fighting beside me and making the way before me. You, my Lord, are all that I need. Amen.
I can apply this verse to my life by repenting when I sin, because ultimately I am wicked and need to ask for forgiveness for the Lord and it will be granted to me. Although, I do disagree with Simon and I think that one should pray to the Lord for my their own forgiveness and no one else needs to do it for them. In verse twenty two, the phrase “if possible, the intention of your heart may be forgiven you” stood out to me. This line is not saying that one repents are they are automatically forgiven, it says if possible meaning, if it pleases the
Out of this tension and search for answers in Christian thought, emerged the Just War Theory of St. Augustine of Hippo. Augustine continued in the Christian tradition of believing all war to be intrinsically evil. He unequivocally condemned those who desired, sought, or enjoyed war, and made it clear that to engage in a just war is to engage in war by force of necessity. In Book 4, chapter 14 of his magnum opus, The City of God, he says “to carry on war and extend a kingdom over wholly subdued nations seems to bad men to be felicity, to good men necessity .”
Doing so is not is not our mission. We are to be servants of God. If we serve God out of love and obey his laws, we will be rewarded in Heaven for whatever persecution we may endure here on earth.
