Crucible

Changes, changes are an unpreventable commodity of life. In the play "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, the characters John Proctor and Reverend Hale face several changes throughout the play. From the beginning of the play we are informed that John Proctor has had an affair with Abigail Williams knowing this we watch his downfall between his wife, the town people, and most importantly himself. Within the play Reverend Hale is portrayed as a very religious man that has signed many death warrants on those who were accused of witchcraft, later in the play he tries to save those who were accused because he had realized he was wrong to sign off their deaths.
