The nursery from "The Veldt" by Ray Bradburg is an ordinary device used by the children, which soon after turns into their parent's worst nightmare. It's used to catch emanations of the children's minds to allow them to be content. The nursery creates anything the children imagined, for example, "the children thought lions, and there were lions. They thought zebra's and there were zebra's. Sun-sun.Death-death." The nursery is a glass room where a child's imagination comes to life to satisfy them and their every desire. Subsequently, the nursery becomes an addiction to the kids. For instance, "they live for the nursery."
