The 19th century was a period of incredible technological advancement and saw the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. In 1800 the United States was almost entirely agrarian, with the vast majority of people employed in the agricultural sector. However, as the century progressed technological advancements revolutionized the United States forever changing the nation into an industrial superpower. The technological developments of the 19th century transformed the economy and affected the environment of the United States by driving the Industrial Revolution; leading to more efficient farming; and spurring the growth of cities.
The most important event in history: Industrial Revolution Context The industrial revolution was the most significant event in history, which started around the eighteenth century towards the nineteenth century in Europe. This great event was the fastest spreading event in human history. The capacity of economy and population growth was unexpected especially at the areas in which it flourished. The industrial revolution benefited almost everyone around the world and brought about new social classes, large cities and countless new innovations including medical discoveries especially in Britain, which based its scientific innovations on experiments and practical work rather than theories and logic, are the great outcomes of this still going event.
Human labor is an essential source of economic growth and the more labor contributes, the more of an economic production. During the Industrial Revolution which took place in the 18th and 19th Century which was known as the transition of new manufacturing processes, proves how factories took the full advantage of human labor and unfortunately, set aside workers rights. With this in mind, this labor force was made up of children under the age of 12 , millions of newly arrived immigrants, and a huge number of families migrating from different rural areas[some where unskilled workers] to an urban society, to see what life there can offer, and in hopes of having a job security, prosperity, and most of all, the idea of the American Dream. For this reason, as factories were being built, businesses were in need of workers, which is why people were willing to work as long as they got paid to support their families and keep in mind that factories were not always the best place to work. With this in mind, with the dream of a better life, many unskilled immigrants who migrated from different rural areas relocated to different areas to find work.
As divisions of labor developed, population growth increased expeditiously, resulting in the development of more complex societies known as civilizations. This allowed other societal roles to develop within these

The Industrial Revolution not only influenced production methods and urbanized many areas but also revolutionized the art world. The rapid change in technology and quality of life allowed artists to focus more on expressing themselves through more advanced and modern means rather than traditional ones. With this major change in quality of life came different movements through the 1800s which evolved art. One of the most influential pieces of technology that came from the Industrial Revolution which impacted art was the invention of the camera.

Authors, Charles Morris, Matthew Josephson, and James Nuechterlein point out to historians that the world is full of many different angles and ideas that one can view regarding the Robber Barons or the successful men of the industrial revolution.
