It got a lot of confused attention until that confusion turned into the belief of witches. Within a month, the people of Salem tried to get rid of the evil religiously. Tituba was questioned and she mentioned witch conspiracies in Salem.

Rebecca was arrested on the lie that she killed Mrs Putnam's Babies, and Martha is arrested on the lie that she bewitched Walcott's pigs with her books and now he can not keep a pig alive for more than four weeks. Another lie told is that Abigail accuses Elizabeth Proctor of being a witch and trying to kill her. .
