In The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby tries to achieve The American Dream through his hard work in hopes of impressing Daisy Buchanan. F. Gatsby does everything for Daisy, but her stubbornness makes their relationship no work out. The colors green, pink, and yellow symbolize his American Dream failure.
