In the Elizabethan tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare, the characters that are known to be adored, can even be the cause of adversities throughout the beautiful play. Many characters could be accountable for the death of Romeo and Juliet. It might be the Nurse, who had very poor judgement, stringing Juliet along in a relationship that wouldn’t last. Would it be Tybalt, the violent cousin, who resented Romeo? Unexpectedly, the person who is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet is the carefree Romeo. Romeo is mostly to blame because he was irresponsible and acted expressively. Romeo’s impulsive manner ultimately lead to the demise of his, Juliet’s, and many others. “Did my heart love till now? For swear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty until this night” (1.5.50-51). This displays how blindly Romeo fell in love with Juliet—even knowing she was a Capulet. He only liked her for her appearance rather than truly getting to know her. “And for that offense immediately we exile him hence” (3.1.179-180). The Prince’s banishment on Romeo was because he acted emotionally and killed Tybalt. Romeo’s actions led him to the separation of him and Juliet. Without his imprudent deed, Juliet wouldn’t have to create an outlandish plan …show more content…
Romeo did not think of the consequences before his actions. His thoughtless behavior led to the end of his and his star-crossed lover’s life. At first, Romeo Montague was a very disheartened teenager because Rosaline, his old love, wouldn’t love him like he did. Then, he meets Juliet and suddenly is life is filled with life and passion. He loved fiercely, and went to great lengths for Juliet. The tragedies that occur in the script molded what is now the most renowned play of our time. Although, we will never find out if the lovers would have gotten a blissful ending to this flawless Shakespearian tragedy if they had not
Is Romeo genuinely the one to blame for all the deaths that occur in Romeo and Juliet? Two teenagers (Romeo and Juliet), met at a party, and fell in love at first sight. They kissed and eventually married each other. People were killed and one of the teenagers (Romeo) was at fault for one of the deaths, and was supposed to be exiled. The other teenager (Juliet) took a potion to seemed dead for 42 hours, then was supposed to be saved by the other teenager, according to Friar’s “plan”.
Death is a recurring event in Shakespeare’s Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Two star crossed lovers take their lives, and their families are joined after an eternal feud. When Romeo Montague commits suicide after finding his young bride supposedly dead, the dramatic scene sets the catastrophe in motion and speaks to his tragic flaw of impulsiveness. It also illuminates the true meaning of the play, which is the power of hatred, and eludes to every character's feeling towards their fate. Does Romeo’s self inflicted death make him a villain after all, or is he simply an impulsive young man with a big heart, doomed by blood never to love a Caplet?
There are many people to blame for the deaths of the star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet; they all had something to do with the sad tragic outcome. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic play about two enemies kids fall in love. The two kids hid their love from them which lead the kids to their death. There events and characters that cause Romeo’s and Juliet’s death. I think Lord/ lady Capulet , the event when Tybalt wanted to fight Romeo, and also the event when Romeo went to the Capulet’s party were primarily responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because they all could have been prevented. Lord/Lady capulet is responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet because they pressured their daughter Juliet just to get what they wanted for her.
Romeo is to blame because when Romeo kills Tybalt, Romeo gets banished and causes other people to be affected. Romeo’s mother dies from grief, Juliet becomes depressed and has suicidal thoughts, and causes Friar Laurence to come up with the plan to fake Juliet's death.
The Nurse should have said something to the family about Juliet being in love if she really cared about her. The Nurse always acted like she cared very much about Juliet, but if she had, she would have put a stop to her killing herself. The Friar married Romeo and Juliet and therefore should have told their parents about the marriage if he noticed they were having problems. The Friar was afraid of what the families might have done if they found out that he married them without their permission. Instead of thinking about others the Friar thought about himself.
{{Please introduce the play and author in your introduction.}} After reading Romeo and Juliet, I 've decided that Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their own deaths. It was their own decisions to commit suicide. They were young and made the horrible choice of killing themselves when they acted upon their love to quickly. Even though they have only known each other for a short amount of time, they loved each other enough to take their own lives. If they had thought about their decisions more thoroughly, they would still be alive.
Blame. An intrinsic property of humans that comes with the right of free will. It is usually defined as the action of assigning responsibility for a wrongdoing. People often resort to blame to find a means to explain their suffering. People can also blame to put their transgressions on another person because they do not want the shame on them instead of taking responsibility for their actions.
In the play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Juliet is to blame for the death because, she caught Romeo’s eye in the beginning of the play and allowed him to fall in love with her and kiss her all in that night at the capulet party, without actually knowing who he was or that he belonged to montague (which made their love almost impossible because of the rivalry). She also made some rash decisions without thinking of the consequences if things were to go wrong. Then in the end after his death that she caused, she ended up killing herself because of his death.
Romeo is all to blame for these fights and deaths. Romeo is to be blamed because in the beginning of the play he liked every pretty girl he saw and was upset about Rosaline because she didn’t like him back, and she was going to become a nun. He should have never gone to the Capulet 's party because then he would have never met Juliet. Another reason, he should have never gone to the party is because now Tybalt wants to fight
In the quote,"We live in a culture of blame. People will blame anyone or anything for their misery sooner than take the responsibility to own it and make it better. "in the article It's Not My Fault: The No-Excuse Plan for Overcoming Life's Obstacles by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, we see blame being something that everyone in this day and age resorts too, because we assume to make ourselves feel better or even help ourselves in a situation, a narcissistic person . Blame is a concept that everyone underworks at one point in time, you see a fault or wrong and you pin that issue on someone else, blaming them.
The second most important reason that causes the demise of Romeo and Juliet is that fate was involved. The chorus in the script of Romeo and Juliet describes them as “a pair of star-crossed lovers” (pg. 483). Star-crossed lovers mean love that is doomed to fail, so they had the fate that their love was doomed to fail. Another example of fate in the story is when Romeo sees Juliet at her (Capulet’s) party and the first thing he asked himself was “my heart love till now?” (pg. 500).
