Candy suspected that he was going to get canned soon so he knew had to do something. At the moment that Lennie and George articulated their feelings on where they were going to live he decided that was a good idea and it soon became his dream too. Since this was the case we already know how this dream was totally destroyed. Lennie became a murderer and ran to the spot where George told him to go if he got in any trouble. Now Candy is probably just going to die somewhere because some socially incompatible man decided to take the neck right out of Curley's wife's neck.
Since Huck was young the idea that slaves were beneath him had been implemented and he believed it because society upheld this idea. However, as he began to spend time with Jim and learned about his family and the hardships which he faced. Huck begins to see that Jim is no different than any white man is. Even though Huck still doesn’t understand that enslaving a person is wrong he does come to realize that Jim is no different than he is. Huck and Jim become very close while on their journey to find freedom.
This helps us understand why he strived for this feeling. Clearly, he was constantly feeling bad and wanted to feel good for once. He wanted to be accepted and not doubted. He didn’t want to take to heart what his brother said, but he so desperately tried to please him, he chose a path that gave him what he wanted and kept it from his brother. Sonny was described as a smart boy, and that he was.
The prodigal son main characters, the father and the son has many difference however they do favor each other. Now as I analyze this story it does resembles God and his children and how his children can tend to be disobedient yet God forgives when asked. The youngest son decides that he wanted to leave home and try to (you can say in modern terms) “find himself”. Enjoying his new-found freedom. Like today the new generation does not know to manage their money.
Joe’s father kept him out of school, beat him and his mother, and even would track them down if they were to run away. But, through all that abuse, Joe still shows kindness to him. Joe means that for what God had given to his father, he was a good man. Also, Joe married Mrs. Joe because he wanted to help the
He hates that name and the only thing to do to make him feel better is for him to kill the man that gave him that awful name. In “A Boy Named Sue” the author tries to make his readers understand the poem mostly by the use of pathos, conflict, and imagery. The pathos can be seen in line 12 where Silverstein states “life ain’t easy for a boy named Sue.” which explains how the boy grew up having a difficult time. In this line, the boy explains how both female and male react to his certain name by laughing at him because they know that he has a feminine name. In today’s society if a boy has a feminine name then most likely that boy will be judged, bullied, and be laughed at not only in school but in many other places.
Tom may seem like a selfish person at times but he cares for his friends and family, and has a good heart that’s better than being a “model boy”. In the beginning Tom, Huck, and Joe ran away to be pirates. When they return everyone is joyful and relieved to see Tom and Joe but no one really notices that Huck is there and that he is safe too. Tom sees that and makes sure someone that someone is happy that he’s okay. That action helps show Tom and Huck 's bond.
You want to belong to people who care about you, but what if you never were? Christopher Creed, the boy who disappeared never was accepted by others. Chris was labeled as bothersome and annoying, but that was who he was. He was an intelligent person who got criticized for doing so. Many people judged Christopher, it was apart of his daily routine.
Along with the way that Huck treated Jim, Twain made him sound like an unintelligent thing, not a human being but just a thing. There were many problems that Jim faced with Huck and one is specifically pointed out as the reason The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was a racist tale and not one that started to show racial tolerance. During the escape of Jim from Aunt Sally’s house Huck devises a simple plan to get Jim out of the barn safely But then Tom comes along and makes the plan much more complicated and insanely dangerous for Jim. Huck instead of stopping Tom from doing this plan asks him why they should do a complicated plan that might hurt Jim and then decides to revert back to his old self and toy with Jim. After all the morale improvements that Huck has made in the end Jim is still being toyed with instead of treated like the free human being he was.
Lennie had his friend to help him in this hard life. George, a man who is smart and fast at taking action, this friendship that they had, created a bond that nobody else had in this novel. They were like brothers who saved each other, they had dreams together that they wanted to reach. Although that most people at that time -The Great Depression- suffered majorly from and loneliness and despair, men had to leave their families -if they had any- just to get a minimum wage job; families had to live a life that was autonomous with no goal, just to feed their kids -George and Lennie were different. George and Lennie’s dreams saved them from loneliness.
