Absolute Monarchy, Fascism, Communism, and Totalitarian can all be seen as forms of Dictatorship. Especially, depending on who is ruling at that current time and their misuse or abuse of power. Throughout history, people have developed several forms of government, or ruling authorities. It is my belief that Absolute Monarchy birthed other ideologies and other forms of government, even though there are key contrasts amongst them. Absolute Monarchy is a system of government where a single ruler rules by some inherent right and has complete centralized authority or sovereignty over the state and government. Many absolute monarchs had no limits on their power over state and government. An Absolute Monarch does not share their power with any other …show more content…
Mussolini came to power during a very unstable time in Italy’s history. “When Benito Mussolini debuted the Fasci Italiani di Combattimento, the precursor to his fascist party, on Mar. 23, 1919, in Milan, he wasn’t inventing the idea of violent authoritarianism. But he put a name on a new and terrible breed of it. Under his leadership, squads of militants attacked, beat, and killed fellow Italians; later, once he had become the authoritarian ruler of Italy, he oversaw brutality in Ethiopia, an alliance with Hitler and the persecution of Italy’s Jewish population and others, among other crimes” …show more content…
Not being satisfied with his current title he sought out more power, Hitler then anointed himself the Fuehrer supreme ruler of Germany. During Hitler’s time as Fuehrer, him and his Nazi regime targeted certain groups or races they considered inferior. These included Roma and Sinti people (Gypsies), black people, people with disabilities and homosexuals. Hitler singled out Jews for complete annihilation. Hitler slaughtered the Jews because he had convinced himself and millions of Germans to buy into a crazy conspiracy theory that Jews were working together in a grand conspiracy, to turn Germany into a communist nation and that they were plotting to destroy Germany. That joined with the perception that Jews were sub-human led to the Holocaust. The Holocaust is one of the most infamous genocides. The Holocaust genocide was a clear example of radical violence that was perpetrated by Hitler. Genocide is an act that is against human ethics and is one of the most horrific crime a government or ruling authority can
Hitler wanted to create a perfect race of people and to create it, he killed off those that were not suited for his perfect world. In this group were homosexuals, people with disabilities, and Jewish people. They were taken to camps where they dropped like flies. One of the many horrors of the death camps were the crematoriums, where people were burned alive. Small children and babies were thrown into pits of fire because they could not work.
When rising to power Hitler sees the Jewish people as the enemy race. As a result, he plans to exterminate every last one of them. Wicked men of his Nazi army captured Jews, then changed them profoundly; they took away
He believed that only a strong leader like himself could defeat conflicts caused by other political parties (especially communists/socialists) and post-war problems (World War I). Mussolini’s first call to action was creating a group called the “Blackshirts” that would carry out beatings against communist leaders and throwing them out of office. People of all different backgrounds joined including teachers, business people, and store owners (Document 5). Mussolini constantly told his people that he was going to restore Italy back to its glorious Roman Empire era. He backed up his sayings by invading Ethiopia.
Due to distress within the German community, Adolf Hitler rose to power just before World War II. He became more and more powerful and his influence dispersed nationally. Hitler’s popularity lead him to begin the extermination of anyone Jewish; known today as the Holocaust. Over the years many stories have been told about the Holocaust. Tales of survival and triumph, tribulation and sorrow.
The Holocaust was a horrible tragedy in which the germans caused near 6 million Jewish casualties. It was an attempt of mass genocide, from Hitler’s perspective he was cleansing the world of inferior peoples. At first he attempted to deport the Jews. Soon, countries refused to accept them. Then to contain them and use them for labor.
The Holocaust is considered one of the most notable events to happen in human history. Adolf Hitler’s plan was to exterminate all races of which he thought was inferior to his master race, The Aryan Race. To effectively kill them, he made concentration camps where the prisoners would be worked to death. Sadly, most of the races targeted and killed were the Jews. They were blamed for everything such as World War I and World War II.
A perfect example of absolute tyranny would be the Nazis. Their cruel and oppressive behavior towards the Jews and those who didn’t fit into their mold of the “perfect human” ended up as a mass genocide that cost the lives of millions. According to the famous document, the English colonists’ wrote a set of “Facts” (266) to be submitted to the world, showing the human race the repeated offenses the English government had shown to the colonists’. King George III and Parliament made life exceedingly trying for them. In the Declaration of Independence, Jefferson wrote numerous ways to government had usurped their rights as citizens.
Benito Mussolini was one of the strongest opponents towards democracy and liberalism, primarily in his native nation, Italy, and also in other areas in the world . He was, thus, a strong enthusiast of fascism. Adolf Hitler, on the other side, used the style and policies of leadership that were largely linked

The Holocaust was a genocide in which Adolf Hitler, ruler of the Nazi party, and his associates conducted the mass murder of over six million Jews. Nazi Germany under the dictatorship of Adolf Hitler was responsible for the brutal, inhuman slaughter of the Jews from 1933 to 1945. Many German civilians were ashamed of the callous, blasé and insensitive killings led by their own ruler and therefore deny any knowledge of the events of the Holocaust. Their claims to be unaware of the events of the Holocaust are not valid and are only used as a shield for their pride and dignity. Adolf Hitler and the Nazis believed that the Germans were the ‘perfect race’ and all other races were deemed ‘inferior’.

This was similar to absolutism, as absolutism also only allows the “chosen” kings with divine rights to rule. Even though there are some similarities between fascism and absolutism, there are also differences. The main difference is the object of the authority. Absolutism gives all the power to the one and only monarch of the country. However, in the country that has fascism movement, the authority is on the government and the nation, even though there is a dictator.
During World War 2, Hitler was known for his abuse of multiple minorities, a primary target being the Jews. Nazi Germany strongly believed in anti-Semitism which is hostility and prejudice against Jewish people. This started the Holocaust, which was the systemic killing of Jews. Hitler ordered for
Between the 1500’s and 1600’s absolute monarchs had a great power over their kingdoms. Absolute monarch means one monarch who has unlimited power over a kingdom. During this time absolute monarchs believed that they had the “divine right” to rule over a kingdom, because they were chosen from God to be on the throne. Absolute monarchs did not share power with moves, parliaments, or the church. The absolute monarchs of the 1500’s and 1600’s showed that they held a great deal of power over their kingdoms.
A single monarch ruling is not the most effective way to control the country due to how “There will be no liberty where the executive, legislative, and judicial powers are united in one person or body of persons. ”(Doc 6). The primary benefit an absolute monarchy has is how it stabilizes a country, but it is not a government form that will aid the country for an extended period of time, especially with how a single person makes all the decisions in society. A democracy allows different groups of people to negotiate and decide what occurs in the branches of government, making the decision and compromise more reasonable than when a single person executes a sudden idea. With everyone compromising the best solution, the result will satisfy everyone’s interests.
