The cherokee tribe is a big nation with many ancestors who have known their culture and legends for decades. Who they also have been passing on their cultures and myths.
The Cherokee tribe have many cultures. They have six traditional festivals throughout the year. First, New moon of spring festival is in march. Which is performed by woman with friendship dances. Next, the green corn ceremony is performed for four day when the corn ripened. It usually happens in june or july. They do stomp dance, feather dancing, or buffalo dancing. Then, the great new moon festival is around october and it marks the beginning of the cherokee new years. A lot of dances, prayers and offerings happened with a huge feast of meat, corn, pumpkin,beans, and squash.
