This impediment or obstruction can happen due to various reasons – desires, diet, thoughts, emotions, general lifestyle, etc. Also, lack of prana or insufficient prana can also bring about immunity – related issues. Prana Vidya : According to prana vidya though prana or the life force works within the body, it can go out of the body and reach another body. In the science of psychic healing this knowledge plays a great role. Prana can be directed along a particular path and then the Prana may be directed through the power of imagination. When visualisation is perfected it becomes a wonderful experience. In in Prana vidya the aim is to allow awareness to flow to the different centres of the body along specific channels. It makes one aware of this psychic pathway. The mind is made to know that something is moving or following inside the body. This feeling must be centred within the body and not from outside the body. Prana is not specifically heat, cold, pressure, sensation, and so on and so forth. It is absolute light, illumination. Where ever Prana goes the light particularly passes along the nadis or the pranic pathways or meridians (Chinese) of the body. Initially there is imagination in the practise. But when awareness increases, the sadhaka realizes the truth of the experience described above. At times, this ray of light will actually be seen at other times there will be only a memory of this
The experiences patients go through are one like no other. They come to, “...express a spiritual realm and a loving presence that some refer to as God…” (Lichfield). These experiences have been documented to change people's lives as some go on to new professions and ending marriages as a result of their subconscious experience.
Whatever is drawn out the person’s body goes into the healer and travels out the healer into the air. This trance just doesn’t serve the person they are trying to heal, but it serves their own community as

Many of these symptoms point towards depression. On the other hand, from the perspective of the Hmong culture, Paja's illness is seen as a manifestation of spiritual distress or imbalance. His symptoms are thought to be caused by a loss of his spiritual soul, or "yeeb," and require a spiritual cure, such as a shamanic ritual. These contrasting approaches to illness reflect different basic ideas about the world and how it works.
During my time at USM I took a creative class, Therapeutic Touch, along with my psychology courses. Therapeutic Touch is a course about energy work, chakras, and using color and intentions to heal. One of the books we were required to read for the class explained the beliefs of those who practice Therapeutic Touch, (such as Reiki and Pranic healing). According to Therapeutic Touch workers, people develop diseases as they correlate to the chakras, which the person suffering from the disease has made “spin” less due to stress or certain feelings. This is to say that whichever part of your body becomes infected or diseased may be related to outside emotional issues, which have manifested as a physical ailment within that chakra area.

Between 1975 and 1979, an estimate of 2 million Cambodians were sent to the Killing Fields after the Khmer Rouge regime took over power. Within these fields, many people were either killed, starved, or worked to death so the regime may maintain an ethnic superiority and partake in an extreme version of Maoism. The Missing Picture and Enemies of the People are documentaries that take different approaches to tell the stories of Cambodians who were not only affected, but took part in the genocide. Both documentaries ultimately display documentary filmmaking, styles and issues that occur while making a film.
Yoga experts and Hindus all concur on one aspect of religion and spirituality; it’s somewhat of a hybrid theory. Chakras and human physiology; a hybrid of biology and religious aspects. What really goes on inside each one of us on a spiritual level, and does it have any change on us as a human/spiritual being? Buddhism revolves around the concept of suffering, attempting to explain its origin and how to break free of it.
