One example on loyalty is from Inigo’s backstory when his father was killed. “I, Inigo Montoya do challenge you, coward, pig, killer, ass, fool to a battle”(page 132) After Domingo died, Inigo tried to fight the six fingered man, and even though he is only 10 years old and so smol, he does not hesitate to fight this man because he loved his father in their own weird way. This is important because from the very beginning it sets up Inigo's main plot line for the rest of the story, his purpose is essentially to train and then find and beat this man. Another example is from Fezziks backstory and helps to begin his plot line. Fezzik was a wrestler and he didn't want to but his parents believed it was best for him and the family. “Fezzik, as always, obeyed” (page 157) This line kinda represents most of what Fezzik does throughout the story. In this case, he does not want to fight but he is loyal to his parents, later on, he does the same thing with Vizzini. Fezzik is like a small child or dog, if he believes in a person he will unconditionally be loyal to them. A third example involves Buttercup and Westley, “Buttercup hesitated not a

Romeo and Juliet had love at first sight but there are some threats to their relationship that may interrupt their love for each other. The three threats that go against their love for each other are that their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, are bitter enemies. This leads into the second threat to their relationship which is that Romeo was never invited to Capulet’s party but he came anyway, and when Tybalt saw Romeo, he told his servant to fetch his sword and when Capulet heard him say that, he convinced Tybalt that there was no be none of that to take place and even thought he realized that Romeo wasn 't supposed to be there, he just wanted a night of peace. The third conflict between Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other is Paris.
The loyalty between family and friends can cause people to do things which can have an minimum or huge impact in their lives. In ‘Romeo and Juliet” by William shakespeare, it had lots of issues with loyalty, in which later in the book had caused the two main characters Romeo and Juliet their lives to change. An individual fails to realize the importance of loyalty their family or friends who made an impact on their life.
The question of who is most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet can be complicated. Almost everybody in the play can be blamed because everybody has pitched in a little. There are many characters in the play by William Shakespeare who wronged Romeo and Juliet. The characters that contributed the most to Romeo’s and Juliet’s deaths are Friar Laurence, Lord Capulet and Paris.
Lord Capulet is the father of Juliet and a big part of the continuous feud between his family and the Montague’s. He was blind to the love in his beloved daughters heart for their enemy, Romeo. Instead of realizing the love that Juliet felt for another man he was forcing her to marry Paris, a perfect stranger. “But fettle your fine joint ‘gainst Thursday next to go with Paris to saint Peter’s church, or I will drag thee on a humble thither.”
In the Elizabethan tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” written by William Shakespeare, the characters that are known to be adored, can even be the cause of adversities throughout the beautiful play. Many characters could be accountable for the death of Romeo and Juliet. It might be the Nurse, who had very poor judgement, stringing Juliet along in a relationship that wouldn’t last. Would it be Tybalt, the violent cousin, who resented Romeo? Unexpectedly, the person who is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet is the carefree Romeo. Romeo is mostly to blame because he was irresponsible and acted expressively.
Romeo’s rebellion against society's expectations and his own family, the Montagues, is because of his love. His love of Rosaline is his first demonstration of defiance. This goes against the family feud as Montagues and Capulets are supposed to hate each other. His love of Rosaline motivates him to trespass on Capulet property where he meets his next love, Juliet Capulet. Even though he is
Alan Watts once said, “Never pretend to a love which you do not actually feel, for love is not ours to command.” (brainyquotes.com). Watts is saying that we can't just say that we love someone, we have to feel our heart swell with the love we have for that person. In William Shakespeare's, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet are not truly in love because they automatically fall ‘in love’ after seeing each other once, they decide to get married a few hours after they meet and they are too immature to actually know what love is .
In William Shakespeare’s timeless play Romeo and Juliet, two star crossed lovers are faced with great adversity as they hide their romance from their feuding families. As author James Lane Allen once said, “Adversity does not build character, it reveals it”. Romeo, a Montague, struggles to hide his love for the Capulet daughter, Juliet, from his family and friends. The challenge of lying to his closest companions, and going against his family’s ways to secretly marry Juliet causes Romeo to act erratically and carelessly. Throughout Act 3 Scene One, Shakespeare exposes the lovestruck Romeo’s mercurial nature and impulsivity through his thoughtless actions.
Romeo’s choice to go the Capulet party is the most influential and contributing to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Due to Romeo’s depression Mercutio & Benvolio convince him to go to the Capulet party. Romeo agrees to go and sees Juliet, Lord Capulet’s daughter and falls in love instantly with “her true beauty” (Shakespeare.I.v.51) and pulls her into the other room where they kiss. This meeting results in a prolonged love affair which springs a whole event of scandal including Juliet’s push back to marry Paris, but ultimately it results in Romeo and Juliet’s
In William Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet, there are several acts of impetuosity shown through several characters. Impetuous means marked by impulsive vehemence or passion which Romeo, Juliet, and the friar all display. The three of them believe they are doing what is best for their situations, but in reality they are adding to the plot of the demise of the two lovers. In the play, the three characters Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence act on impetuosity, which leads to the final tragedy of the play.
William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is a story known for being a tragedy and an incredible love story. However, is love more powerful than hate or is it the other way around in this story? Despite the violence and brutality of the book, you can find that love outweighs and is more powerful than hate in certain situations. Many examples can be found in the story and are not just with Romeo and Juliet together.
Friendships are tested in many ways. Often, close friends, will come to each other with their darkest secrets, secrets that could be harmful to themself or others, for example, an eating disorder. In these times, the recipient of the secret is faced with a dangerous choice- to betray the friends loyalty and trust by seeking help, or stand back and watch the situation unfold, potentially ending in calamity. Oftentimes, teenagers especially feel bound to keep the others secret, no matter what problems arise. This is an example of the perils of excessive loyalty. In the play Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare warns about the dangers of extreme loyalty through the behavior of Romeo and Juliet.
From the moment he sees her at the Capulet party, Romeo immediately falls in love with Juliet. They both fall head over heels for each other as the night progresses. During their time together, they completely put all things aside and forget everything about the world except for their love for one another. Most people seem to think this way about the romance between Romeo and Juliet, but in reality, they aren’t actually truly in love. Romeo and Juliet are not in love with each other because just a day before they met, he felt heartbroken because of a girl named Rosaline who didn 't love him, he pressures Juliet to profess her love to him, and after just barely meeting, they both agree to get married.
