Foreign construction workers (unskilled and semi-skilled migrant workers) were from adjacent regions; Indonesia is the leading source of labor, followed by Myanmar, Pakistan, India, and the Philippines. Why depend on foreign workers? Actually, we depend on foreign workers as the departure of local skilled workers in the construction industry has exhausted the pool of expertise that fed the traditional apprenticeship system, which is common among the local Chinese, contributing Malaysia tend to depend on foreign workers. Easy access to the supplies of cheap foreign workers indirectly lower the wages of local workers. Moreover, the eagerness of foreign workers to accept low wages and poor working conditions has provoked the problem by further distressing the wages of local workers. It seems unlikely that the government could actively cause a termination of all illegitimate workers without the active support of industrial partners and firms within the construction
