Animal Farm is a satirical, allegorical novel that recounts the events of the Russian Revolution. Each animal represents a different person and how their ideas effected the revolution. For example, old major represents Vladimir Lenin, and Napoleon and Snowball represent Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky.
