Moreover, this essay will propose how water leaders can overcome six common traps (Taylor, 2017) in water management by adopting these two generic skills. Knowing our own strength is as important as observing how we can work with others. Water leader at all managerial levels of water management sector must know their own strengths in order to know where they can make the greatest contribution to the community they served. Water practitioner should focus on his strength of ideas which can produce good results. Moreover, Drucker encourages "emerging water leader" (Taylor, 2017) to write down expected results whenever they make a key decision for getting to know their own strength through feedback analysis. For example, we see a bulldozer moved a mountain but behind the bulldozer, the actual shaker to move the mountain is an idea. An excellent idea comes with self-management of knowing our own strength, weaknesses and how things

For hundreds and thousands of years, access to water has been an easy thought. It has become something that we don’t have to think twice about. As many of us know, water is a renewable source because of the water cycle. Canada has an abundant amount of water resources, with almost 20% of the world’s fresh water in our lakes, though approximately 12% is inaccessible. However, not everyone can obtain water that is clean enough for simple day to day activities such as cleaning, bathing, and drinking.

The text allows for the reader to understand what the water crisis is, and how it is impacting our daily lives. The text also gives the reader multiple different examples of water control in the United States. But, because of all the corporate greed, corporations are ruining our natural resource of water by creating it into a commodity and selling it. This book gives great insight on how corrupt the government can be when they want to make a cheap buck. Again, “Water is a necessity of life that touches everyone in their own homes” (Snitow and Kaufman, 1) water is a right to all humans, not a commodity for business

Question 1 Peter Loescher was hired by Siemens when the company was experiencing extremely difficult times. After the bribery scandal, the main goal was to gain back the trust and respect from the customers and partners, as well as building a new vision. The company’s board of directors decided that they needed a person from outside of the company, who had no connection and loyalty to previous vision, and no affiliation with previous management team. In my opinion, the company owners hired Loescher for a specific purpose to change the overall team perception of how work is supposed to be done.
United States The emergence and development of the stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs) and Low Impact Development (LID) in the United States has closely associated with the regulatory history of water quality control, especially the Clean Water Act (CWA). Ever since the Industrial Revolution in the mid-19th century, water pollution has become a serious issue in the United States. But it was not until 1948, Congress passed the first major law to address water pollution, which was the Federal Water Pollution Control Act. Unfortunately, with limited enforcement power, the act has done little to combat environmental degradation. Factories were still dumping untreated industrial chemical waste directly into rivers, and the rapidly increased urbanization intensified water pollution with untreated sewage.
Since the spread of formal schooling and education in human societies, fostering cognitive abilities, such as understanding, reasoning, critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and judgment has been highlighted [1]. Problem-solving is an essential skill in today’s life [2]. Problem-solving is a goal-directed thinking [3]. It is a mental process, some logical, orderly, intellectual thinking that helps cope with problems, search several solutions and choose the best solution [4]. According to Moshirabadi, problem-solving is a systematic process and a problem-focused situation analysis that indicates the ability of individuals to overcome obstacles and to achieve goals.
It is also key to be aware what we are or are not capable of in our work. It is important to continue to grow and develop personally and professionally. This is an ongoing process throughout our lives. According to Day, Halpin & Zaccaro, 2004, (cited by Share & Lalor, 2009, p123) for ‘self-development to occur, a person needs to become aware of his/her internal processes {thoughts, feelings, moods, beliefs and actions} and have an awareness of how these internal processes impact on others as an external process’. Self-awareness and self-development work hand in hand with one another, as do personal and professional development.
Water can no longer continue to stay unprotected, it is simply too important. Today most countries have laws aimed at safeguarding water quality and controlling water abstractions (Groenfeldt, 2013). In 2010, a new human right to ‘safe water and sanitation’ was recognized by the United Nations and implemented effective immediately. Water not only feeds the human body, but also the earth. Without water, nothing can grow.
“With realization of one’s own potential and self-confidence in one’s ability, one can build a better

Introduction By the year 2025, the Philippines is believed to be brought to a water crisis if no new sources of water are developed or found to meet the growing demand of the citizens. (Sapnu, R., Balabo, D., & Cervantes, D., 2007) "There is a Japan International Cooperation Agency study that says that if we will not conserve water, there may be some problems. But of course we can always start conserving now and look for other sources," Lopez (2013) said. Studies have shown how water conservation and appropriate water utilization are significant as early as today.
