John Quincy Adams was born on July 11, 1767 to John and Abigail Adams. He spent his childhood growing up in Braintree, Massachusetts with his five siblings. Mrs. Adams gave their children the finest education she could; she taught them mathematics, languages, literature, religion, and so much more. She also took care of the home while the famous American patriot, John Adams, was away. John Quincy Adams grew up during the Revolutionary War, so his father was absent for much of his childhood.
