Nature of spring: each season of the year has a definite period of its duration to stay in nature. Each season consists of two Bengali months and comes one after another with a cyclic order. It comprises two Bangali months called Falgoon and Chaitra. Spring comes with the message of joy and hope,
“The trumpet of a prophecy, O’wind,
If winter comes, can spring be far behind?”
Attractions: the attractions of bounteous spring are too many to be described in words. Nature looks gay and cheerful in spring. It is neither very hot nor cold. The sky is blue and clear. A gentle breeze blows from the south and soothes our body

Chris Bachelder, the author of “Rewatching the Theismann Injury”, published on November 18, 2015 by the New York Times, did a good job of further informing football watchers of the events that occurred when Washington Redskin quarterback, Joe Theismann suffered a career ending injury. Bachelder explained how most people say they know of or have even seen the injury to Theismann, but people may not remember everything that happened when his career was ended. The way Bachelder explained what happened was he did a memory test on himself to see what he remembered about the play and testing it with what really happened, which informs the reader on what transpired back in 1985. For example, Bachelder recalled that he was young at this time and his

Summer is a time for relaxation and a recollection of the previous school year. A sense of disappointment and discouragement always linger in the air throughout the summer in anticipation of the next school year. The origin being summer reading. Statistics for procrastination are at an all time high during the month of August. Contradictorily, the summer of ‘13 was the pinnacle of summer reading throughout my education.
Loss is “a losing by defeat; failure to defeat” (dictionary.com). There are many definitions, but in sports losing is the worst incident that can happen to a team. Pat Conroy discovers what it means to lose in his memoir My Losing Season. The memoir covers Conroy’s experiences as a young boy growing up in the South in the 1960s and as a basketball player for The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina. After The Citadel, Conroy decided to pursue his career as an author and chose to write about his senior year of college.
The season appears to be autumn, since the narrator mentions it “might have been as late as November.” (Line 24.) Fall and winter are known for being depressing seasons. The sun isn’t out as often, the leaves are gone, the trees are dead, and the weather is colder. These seasons are mostly spent inside, but Judd makes his way to a shallow brook where he begins his pondering.
“What’s your favorite time of year?” “Summer!” This is a common question asked by an adult, and a typical reply from a child. Of course summer is their favorite time of the year because they have summer break! 10-12 weekes full of sun and fun!
A couple pages in the novel, it says “And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.” (p. 4) This shows how spring symbolizes a new beginning where it is the renewal of Earth, welcoming summer. Not only is summer itself just dawning, but so is Nick’s new life.
They are also referred to as “long-day breeders” because the females come into heat as the days increase in length in the spring. Mares are also “seasonally polyestrous,” meaning they have multiple heat cycles throughout the spring and summer. The natural breeding season for horses in the Northern Hemisphere is the spring or summer. Light is the controlling factor in causing mares to come into heat in early spring. Estrus is another term used to define being in heat.
Foster provides different examples of how seasons have been used thousands of years ago as well as in modern times. Seasons are often labelled with either the cycle of life and death or emotions commonly experienced in the human condition. For example, spring represents the birth of new life as well as the joy and curiosity that comes with being new to the world, summer represents the finding of love and the naivety of young adults. Autumn represents the aging of the body and the decay of feelings and tiredness associated with the harvest. Winter oftentimes comes to mean the decay and death of the body as well as the gloom and depression experienced in the cold weather of winter.
Spring is universally symbolic for rebirth. Yet Edna St. Vincent Millay, takes a very different perspective in her view in her poem “Spring”. Millay finds the season redundant and agitating. By using negative diction and imagery her message that the beauty of nature can't compensate for the existence of death is extremely clear.
Both of these seasons have the goods and bads. Do you know which season is your favorite season? In conclusion there are many pros and cons to both winter and summer. Winter can be dangerous, but causes people to realize that taking caution when driving is important.
