King also use his speech symbol and personification. As a symbol he uses were mountain, valley and hill as a meaning in his speech. That one day they will have equal right as the white man but also their freedom. Like King said, “With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.” It can be seen that King has faith for a better future for his people. Also, we can see that King is singing in his speech. For example King says, “My country, ‘tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my fathers died, land of the pilgrim’s pride, from every mountain side, let freedom ring.” It seen that King though of this form the top of his head when giving his speech to make more effective by using lyrics from a song like a quote. …show more content…

During the year that had pass between King’s and Lincoln’s have been different but their speeches continue on this date. It can be see the quotes, personifications, metaphors and similes. King speech “I Have a Dream” may had more figurative language in it the Gettysburg Address but both are memorable speeches to this date. Using personification, symbol, metaphor, and similar to compare or contrast each other, or to describe in what they invision themselves lodging. Even to this date even on T.V. Show or video games have quoted from this important man. For example in the game “Fallout 4” quote from the Gettysburg Address where Lincoln says, “By the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” It very inspire to see even developer are quoting from this memorable people such as this two man.
