Zig Ziglar once said “Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.” His words were implying that ones natural abilities will not determine their success. Whether one chooses to have a positive or negative attitude will determine their success. Goals are only achieved with a positive attitude and determination. There are many obstacles one will face during their lifetime, but with a clear mindset, those obstacles can be easily overcome. Keeping an absolute approach to difficult situations will be most beneficial to one and those around them. Attitude and perseverance determines whether the fallouts in their lives are favorable. Attitude determines what path one chooses to take in life. It can determine whether one meets their goals or decide to give up. To achieve great things, hard work needs to be done. One needs to have a good attitude to be able to achieve their goals. If one is always negative, it will only cause anger and take away motivation. One can accomplish great things but to do this, one needs to have a positive attitude. There are many times when life will get difficult, but if one has a positive mindset, they can overcome these hardships and move on to better things. Without a positive attitude, it is difficult to succeed and be content with their life. People tend to settle down quick and forget about goals they once had. Life keeps moving and it does not wait on anyone, therefore one should never settle, and should keep working for
Avoid negative solutions. Focus Goods Find the good in all that happens around you so that you will be prepared in handling issue unexpected
A lot of people "'understand what it is to strive for something... to want to be someone you're not, to want to achieve something that's just beyond reach, whether it's professional success or wealth or idealized love - or a 4.0 or admission to [UNLV]'" (Rimer 1). Wanting to achieve something can sometimes lead to the extremes. In The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Gatsby made some wrong turns in order to achieve his dreams and wealth, but still wasn't enough to be where he wanted to be. Having a green light or main goal in life may decide if someone goes in the wrong direction and ends up in the wrong place.
If it is unobtainable, make it obtainable. If your goals are too difficult to reach, that's okay, just make them more manageable. If everything has been tried in order to achieve a certain goal but still no cigar, just devalue whatever it is and forget about it. In a nutshell, this is what Stanford professor Bernard Roth preaches in the first chapter of his book The Achievement Habit. In order to persuade his audience, Roth utilizes rhetorical appeals such as: logos, ethos, a and pathos, but does so rather ineffectually .
Success is something you attract by the person you become. For things to improve, you have to improve. For things to get better, you have to get better. For things to change, you have to change. When you change, everything changes for you.”
Learning about grit and what a growth mindset is allowed me to realized that grit and a growth mindset work together to support success. Grit is the motivation one possess that will determine whether they win or lose. The grittier a person is the more they learn, get experience and discover their potentials. All of these things define what a growth mindset is. In other words, a growth mindset is discovering your unknown potentials.
It directs the actions you take, your energy and most of all your thoughts. Life will show up for you according to how you think it is; and if you regularly maintain the belief that life has a consignment of enjoyable things you will find and see them. Do you think Oprah Winfrey would have gotten to where she is now without a positive mindset? I think not. She came from poverty to one of the world’s wealthiest women all because she is one of the biggest believers and supporters of a positive mindset.
Henry David Thoreau said, at one time, “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.” I would say that while this is correct by way of defining success as the result of action, life isn’t always at the control of the individual, and that a person who single mindedly follows a goal will find themselves exhausted, when a better direction can be taken. Thoreau’s assertion has truth: Nothing happens in a state of inaction. The life of a human being is like the plotline of a story, and unless the character does something, the plot cannot and will not move forward.
When you think of success what comes to mind? In sports it’s making it to the pros. In business it’s making your first million. In high school it can be as simple as acing that test you studied for all night. No matter what profession you are in, success is the desired goal.
This ultimately sets you up for success. All in all, success is earned with hard work and taking advantage of all
Ultimately, it's important to strive towards achieving the things you desire. Success often comes to those who put in the effort and work toward their purpose. In
Due to society, success is mostly viewed as a physical accomplishment. Ivan Chino, National Guard Soldier/NIU graduate, is not only a successful person because of his accomplishments, but more over his work ethic. When asked what makes a person successful, Chino replied, “The road with reaching success comes with many obstacles, but it also involves setting a new bar to achieve a higher form of success.” Clearly, Chino’s view of success is to constantly set high goals, despite the obstacles that come along with them. The reason being is to never settle and strive for a higher level.
The Best Way To Respond To Conflict In times of war, history shows how people from across cultures respond to conflict. In World War ll, some people responded to conflict by mass genocide, hate, fear, and by losing faith. Many people saw each other different, showing that it’s right to be cruel to others just by their religion. This mistreatment lead to damage of people 's thoughts, emotions, and the way of seeing things.
When I think positively, I can achieve greater things, however, having a negative mind-set would handicap me in many ways, obstructing me from achieving my goals. By internalizing this presupposition, I have learnt to always think positively and believe that I can accomplish my goals in
This means that even before you start setting objectives and try to reach them you’d better qualify your value and find your own definition of success otherwise it’s easy to get caught up in an activity track in busyness of life to a harder and harder at climbing the ladder of success only to discover it’s leaning against the wrong wall , it’s possible to be
You can bear with me all successful people in any field always say they worked hard to be where they are. Concluding, “Hard work pays. ” You will succeed if you will work hard towards your
