Although it is a valid point that Fossil Fuels are easier to power America with due to years of experimentation, the environmental drawbacks out way the gain. Essentially, if America invested more into experimentation with renewable energy it could be perfected and suited for the growing need. For this reason, opponents argue that it will ultimately be more cost effective to invest in the development of sustainable energy. Furthermore, renewable energy is cheaper to sustain once properly integrated with global infrastructure. Ultimately, Renewable energy (with enough effort) can potentially keep up with energy
The greatest benefits of wind power are relative as each article and image may find a single item most improved by wind power as people all have different opinions. The graph emphasized the safety of wind compared to coal. Maehlum agrees as turbines create neither pollution nor leaves any waste that harms the environment. “Wind Energy Basics” adds once the wind turbines are finished, they become low in cost while other sources continue to need funds. Power plants perpetually require funding and constant care in hope to diminish harm that may be avoided such as a nuclear meltdown or a sudden release of gases which damage the atmosphere.
These generators may be able to be the future of energy. In order to constantly generate energy, the source needs to be renewable or else the conversion of energy will not take place. Hence the source of the energy should be renewable and overcome obstacles like energy leak. In our current state we use up a lot of non-renewable sources that not only harm the environment, but also harm us. The fuels such as petrol leave out unwanted gasses like NO2 and CO2 which harm us.
Using wind energy would be the best way to solve the world’s pollution problem that cause by burning of fossil fuel. The reason why I personally think that is the best way to solve the pollution is because the wind energy (wind turbine) only uses wind to produce electricity. Wind energy is plentiful, renewable, clean and produce no harmful gas. The effects to the environment are less problematic than the other nonrenewable energy source. It is also cheaper than coal or burning gas.
But the good news is that the price doesn 't necessarily make this material the priciest option. You get back what you put in if you stay in the house for a long period of your time, and may plan on moving in the near future. Also When you are ready to install a new metal roofing system the initial cost may be off putting, but it is important to remember that this is a long term investment. These roofing systems can last for decades and will require very little maintenance during it 's life cycle.
Rather, Singer’s weaker version is more plausible, that one should take necessary action where we are able to prevent bad states of affairs without sacrificing morally significant (Singer, 1972). It is clear then that moral autonomy to pursue one’s own interests is something that can constitute moral significance. An individual is morally free not to devote themselves full time to prevent famine. It is important to make a distinction between the freedom to pursue one’s own interests and the freedom of wasting resources on excessive luxuries. Singer concedes there is no justification for the purchasing of stylish new clothes as any benefit to this purchase would be sparingly little compares to the benefit it would make for the poor in donating that money (Singer, 1972).
Should we pursue alternate energy sources? I feel that we should pursue alternate energy sources. It would stop pollution and global warming from happening so sudden, as we have it currently in our generation. Using renewable energy means that we will never run out of the energy we need.
Coal has been the favoured source for energy generation for centuries, due to its reliability and relatively low cost. However, with coal reserves slowly diminishing due to the ever-increasing demand for energy, renewable energy sources are becoming more popular. Renewable energy is energy harvested through natural processes like sunlight and wind. These sources are replenished faster than they are consumed, and the methods used to convert them to energy do not create any pollution.
The most evident difference between nonrenewable and renewable energy is that one form of energy is safe and good for the environment and the other is a disaster for our planet, causing a grand amount of pollution in our atmosphere. Nonrenewable energy is energy that is achieved through the burning of fossil fuels, but this power source impacts our environment extremely negatively. When fossil fuels are burned it releases a high amount of carbon dioxide into our air supply, this then causes heat and dust to collect and get trapped which leads to global warming and pollution. Renewable energy however, is completely healthy and safe for our environment, therefore using this as our main energy source does not put our earth at any risk. Another important opposition between nonrenewable and renewable energy is that renewable energy is unlimited, meaning that the supplies needed to create this energy are not going to run out because renewable energy uses natural resources that are available to us all the time, such as the sun, wind, and water; therefore we don’t need to worry of the quantity available becoming scarce.
There is a quote by President Barack Obama saying, “To truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy,” (“151 Inspiring Environmental Quotes”). He believes as many due that nonrenewable resources are harmful to all aspects of life. The energy we use now is harmful to our planet, to humans, and to animals. Scientists are taking steps to making the world a better place. They found sources that replenished naturally in a short amount of time and are less destructive in all aspects.
In 2005, 140 countries signed a treaty to reduce their country’s greenhouse-gas emissions (Source A). There are numerous ways to go about this but the best option is to use more renewable resources. The main cause of global warming is CO2 gas being released into the atmosphere and almost 75% of that gas comes from breaking down fossil fuels (Source A). Using renewable resources in place of the fossil fuels would be cleaner and lead to less gas being released into the atmosphere. With technology growing like it is today, finding different ways to use cleaner resources should be easier than ever before.
