Scott looks up to him for even the littlest things. Atticus is Scott´s role model by showing how courageous he truly is. Atticus Finch shows his courage to his children by giving life lessons no matter what people think. Atticus noted¨ if you can learn a simple trick, you´ll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks¨ (Lee 33).
Atticus is a lawyer in a county called Maycomb that has two kids name scout and Jem. Atticus is defending a black man named Tom Robinson that is accused of rape in court. Atticus is put under a lot of pressure through the story dealing with this rape issue. Throughout the novel To Kill A Mockingbird Atticus present himself responsible,leader,wise. He is responsible in this novel because after his wife die he raise two kids by himself and provide food and shelter for them.
In To Kill A Mockingbird Atticus Finch, father of Scout is a character with great morals. A great example would be Atticus being chosen to represent Tom Robinson, a young African American man. Atticus also reminds his children to never judge anyone until they have lived in their skin. Lastly, he prepared his children for the future instead of covering their eyes leaving them blind to the real world.

He is a talented man, he is good at a variety of things from being the best checker player in the town to being an honest and fair lawyer, and he can even play the Jew’s harp. Atticus is one of the very few characters who never has to rethink his stand on a subject. Many of the other characters such as Mayella Ewell do not think about other people or the situation they are in when they say or do something. Atticus Finch is an admirable father for his morality, persistence, and for his wisdom. Atticus Finch presents this in the situations he is portrayed in, in To Kill a Mockingbird.
