What will be going over is Did Georges previous actions support his final action or does it seem out of character? Whos is George disobeying or obeying when he kills Lennie? Who has he put at risk? In Mice of Men George and Lennie are best friends in the book Mice of Men and George takes care of Lennie. The thing that is covered is George’s obedience, and throughout the novel George is very obedient, by George watching over Lennie after aunt clara told him too, and to obeying the rules of the farm, either way George is very obedient “I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you”.
“An’ s’pose they lock him up an’ strap him down and put him in a cage. That ain’t no good George.” (pg.97) Slim, one of the most understanding characters from Steinbeck's novel, Of Mice and Men, makes this statement in deciding how Lennie must be held responsible for the murder of Curley’s wife. George, Lennie’s best friend and caretaker, takes this statement into consideration and inevitably decides that killing Lennie is the best way to save him.

Second, George is not justified due to the Law. One example is that murder is murder and can’t be undone. Even though others may say they have an excuse for the murder.
Moving to a job with hard labor and finally getting money and food again, then having Lennie mess something up and force him to leave and go to somewhere else to find a new place to work. Restarting the cycle all over again. How long do you think it would take you to get tired of running away with a murderer who carries around dead animals he killed and completely relies on you for everything? Also, even if George put aside everything and went with Lennie, his actions would still catch up with him and be marked as
he only had george after his aunt clara died. Killing Lennie is not what his aunt clara told George to do. So in the end George ended up betraying Lennie's aunt clara for killing Lennie and not taking care of him. That is one reason why George should be charged for murder.
Sometimes, the difference between good and bad isn't always black and white. Sometimes, you have to make a decision that isn't bad but, isn't necessarily good. that's exactly what George did when he shot Lennie. After Lennie killer Curley's wife, George realized Lennie would never stop causing trouble. Curley also made it very clear he was going to make killing Lennie as painful as possible.

The unconscious acts of Lennie in Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck lead to terrible incidents. Steinbeck exemplifies in the book how even good people can act in violent ways. John Steinbeck uses Lennie’s action of killing Curley’s wife to communicate to the audience how he isn’t killing her with malicious intent, but how he is a good person who acted violently. Curley’s wife is intrigued by Lennie and his infatuation with petting soft things. She giggled at him realizing how he was on the strange side, even so he seems harmless, and with his intentions he is.

In Mice of Men by John Steinbeck, George should have killed Lennie. Lennie should have been killed because he had broke Curley’s hand, killed a puppy, and killed a woman. Lennie was becoming a threat. "If I was alone I could live so easy." His voice was monotonous, had no emphasis.

In spite of what Lennie had done, he would've gotten help, or he would've been brought to justice but he'd have food, water, a bed, and no one deserves to have their life taken from them just because someone else believes so. One reason why George made the wrong choice was because of Lennie's mental health issue. When you have a mental health problem, you can get better. Some people can't control how they're born.
In the book Mice and Men George was faced with a tough decision of killing his best friends or letting him suffer, he ended up killing him. I believe George's decision to kill Lennie himself was justified. It think it was justified because if George didn't kill Lennie himself then Lennie would have had to endure some form of torture. Candy was talked into having someone shoot his dog. Candy raised his dog up since he was a pup and they've been like best friends.
In the novella, Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, George’s decision to kill Lennie at the end of the novel was justified. George and Lennie were best friends, and have been since they were little. They got ran out of Weed(the old farm they used to work at) for harassing a girl and not letting her go. He was just scared from her screaming and kicking. He didn’t mean to harm, or scare her.
