In my mind this gives me every reason to believe the death of Romeo and Juliet is a result of the hatred between their families and the tension of their love to keep it secret. Another main character that I thought played a huge role in the deaths in Romeo and Juliet is Mr. Capulet (Juliet's father). In Document D Mr. Capulet says “But fettle your fine joint’s ‘gainst Thursday next, To go with Paris to Saint Peter’s Church, Or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither” DBQ Project: Romeo and Juliet Who’s to blame Document D. In my opinion Mr. Capulet is the reason Juliet later fakes her death to get out of the marriage between her and Paris.
The blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet in Romeo and Juliet is on Friar Lawrence. He is the cause because of the actions and decisions he made and showed through out the novel. Actions such as keeping Romeo and Juliet’s marriage in secret eventually led to both of their deaths. Another action that led to the two lover’s death is Friar Lawrence faking Juliet’s death.
There are many different opinions on who or what was the cause of Romeo and Juliet’s deaths. Although individuals are responsible for their own decisions and actions, outside forces often influence those decisions. Friar Lawrence’s poor decision making ultimately led the two leads to take their own lives. For example, in Act 2 Scene 6, after realizing that marrying Romeo and Juliet could end the feud between the Capulet’s and the Montague’s he agrees to wed them saying, “Come, come with me, and we will make short work; till holy church incorporate two in one.”
The Friar’s decisions and advice throughout the play led to the death of Romeo and Juliet. The Friar’s mistakes started when he married Romeo and Juliet. If he had never married Romeo and Juliet, then Juliet would not have had a problem marrying Paris. During the marriage the Friar said, “May the heavens be happy with this holy act of marriage, so nothing unfortunate happens later to make us regret it.” This statement is extremely ironic, and hints that the Friar may have already had a plan to kill Romeo and Juliet hoping to end their families feud.
A question that we have been all trying to answer is, who caused the deaths of Romeo and Juliet? Well, I believe that Friar Lawrence, the parents of Juliet( capulet and lady capulet), and the family feud in general caused the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Lawrence is one of the causes of Romeo and Juliet's death. Friar Lawrence can be considered as wise, trustworthy, caring, and well-intentioned.
Have you ever been pushed to make a decision? Is there someone in your life who acts before thinking? In William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, two love-struck teenagers were desperately in need of proper advice from trustworthy adults to prevent disaster. Friar Lawrence was one of the main characters who offered poor advice to Romeo and Juliet throughout their misadventure. First, he married Romeo and Juliet quickly after they met without their parents’ knowledge.
Four hundred thousand deaths, six hundred thousand attempts, and two hundred thousand considerations in a single year. The seeming epidemic that is teen suicide plagues the minds of teachers, students, friends, neighbors, and parents. Despite this wide range of victims, teenage suicide most directly affects the parents of these children, who commonly feel an overwhelming sense of guilt due to their inability to help their children. However, to many it appears obvious that there are not many things parents can do to prevent suicide, for many reasons. Furthermore, William Shakespeare proves this with his tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” in which two teenagers take their lives.
This quote by Unknown states “When we make selfish decisions we destroy those left in the wake of our disaster.” In the tragic play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet’s selfish decision leave them and members in the play dead and others devastated. Romeo and Juliet caused their death by selfish decisions, rushing into serious situations, and their immaturity. The way they acted shows how they are most to blame for their own deaths. Romeo and Juliet caused their own death by their selfish decisions.
When people (especially children) commit suicide, people usually want an explanation. In Romeo and Juliet, two teenagers kill themselves in the name of love, and by the end of the play, Prince Escalus and the rest of the characters need sometime to blame. There are many people who could be blamed for their deaths including the Capulets’, the Montagues’, Friar Lawrence, and Fate. While both families and Fate had a part in the tragedy, Friar Lawrence is mostly to blame. Fate is part of the reason that Romeo and Juliet die.
Oftentimes in life, people are faced with the blame in a situation. In William Shakespeare’s tragedy, Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence is to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s demise. Friar agrees to marry the young couple even though he at first knows he should not, Romeo and Juliet. Additionally, he thinks the hatred among the Capulets and Montagues will come to an end because of this marriage.
Throughout the play "Romeo and Juliet," Friar Laurence is seen as a sympathetic character who tries to help the young couple. However, his actions and decisions ultimately lead to their tragic demise. The Friar's misguided advice and reckless behavior are the primary reasons why Romeo and Juliet died. Firstly, Friar Laurence should never have agreed to marry Romeo and Juliet in secret.
Even though Romeo and Juliet committed suicide, fate and the long-standing family feuding ultimately cause their untimely deaths. So now we know what the cause the death of Romeo and
Romeo and Juliet died at the end of Act 5 of the play. The death of the two lovers had several reasons and people that lead up to this moment. The people that were the most responsible for the the deaths are three members of Capulet family. With the father, mother, and nurse to Juliet all having an influence by being unsupportive, uncaring, and uptight, they are to blame for Romeo and Juliet's deaths.
Romeo killed himself because he thought Juliet was dead and he did not want to live without her and that is why Juliet killed herself, too. Romeo and Juliet are not the ones to be ultimately blamed for the death the Nurse and Friar Laurence are the ones to be blamed for their deaths. Friar Laurence is one of the people to blame for the ultimate deaths of Romeo and Juliet. He married Romeo and Juliet and did not tell anyone but the Nurse. Romeo and Juliet wanted to get married because they wanted to end the feud between their families.
In the end Romeo and Juliet did they actually have to kill themselves, their answer is yes they did. Romeo and Juliet caused their own death based on their actions. Because Romeo and Juliet did not communicate their love they had for eachother, they had to lie and keep secrets when confronted, thus leading to their demise. Romeo is too quick too think, Juliet got scared easily when she was confronted, and they both did not want to tell anyone they loved each other.
