All That Is Broken. The sky relentlessly bellowed, like a symphony of drums as the clouds were dragged down by the heavy rain which it held in its thin frame. The rain poured down over us all at once, and everything and every color is subdued under it. Barely visible, I can see Jimin’s figure move swiftly a few yards away, a faint shadow. A mirage. But he is real. He is all too real. Because we can see him - and he sees us. “Come on.” Jungkook urges, his voice a deep rumble. We quicken our pace through the fog, our boots sloshing through the mud. Jimin looks over his shoulder. He swears, and begins to run. Jungkook and I quickly follow. Boom. The first clash of thunder starts it all. A blaring whistle at the start of a game. The goose hunt …show more content…
I begin struggle to keep up with Jungkook, who hasn’t slowed down either. I can’t keep up, I thought as I tried to focus on breathing. I manage to catch up to Jungkook by a few feet and try to synchronize my pace with his. For a fleeting moment it seems as if I could keep running, but then I see Jimin just ahead of us. He’s fast, but the last of his strength depletes with every staggering step he takes. He staggers but immediately finds his center. Through the ripped jeans I can see pale skin mixed with dried blood. Jimin’s figure looks much skinnier than we last saw him - the muscle and fat in his arms are barely there, and his posture has broken into a limping, hunched over position. I can hear him making a wretched sickly sound. A cough that seems, with every exhale, takes a part of his leftover soul away from him. It makes me shudder and pause. “Leave me alone!” he cries, his voice just as sickly. The virus has taken a toll on him. But somewhere in there, I know there’s still a part of him left. The same man who always looked at me with an envious gaze yet didn’t give a second thought when I was in trouble. He taught me to remember that even in this harsh reality, the sun still comes up for us to start all over again each day. Deep inside, there’s that same young man I saw who hoped to see a brighter future, a more vibrant sunrise, and a will to live. Not to survive. …show more content…
His body makes a loud splat in the ground, followed by violent grunts. Even with the virus and all the running, Jimin still tries to escape Jungkook’s grip. “Fuck! Let go of me!” Jimin curses, kicking Jungkook off him. It was like seeing prey trying to escape the jaws of death; a fish writhing underneath a bird’s claws. “What the fuck is wrong with you!” Jungkook rattles, pinning Jimin down with his upper body, slamming Jimin into the ground. I hear Jimin cry and wince. I don’t know which shouts or cries belong to who. All I can do was stand there, and watch, send help from the sidelines. Two bodies collide and repel from one another violently, I’m practically watching helplessly from the sidelines. Jimin tries to push Jungkook off and escape with every fleeting chance he gets, but Jungkook whips back quicker than you can imagine. I see punches, kicks and even biting thrown back and forth; Jimin hits Jungkook square in the jaw, Jungkook responds with a curse and fist into Jimin’s stomach. Jungkook’s anger pours out almost murderously that I don’t think he realizes how much weaker Jimin is against him. When I catch the sight of blood on Jimin’s face, I knew Jungkook was going too far. “Stop fighting him Jimin! You’re going to hurt yourself!” I
“He said they both were on the ground punching and kicking and hitting each

She was on the floor, bleeding and still crying for help. He resumed his attack. He stabbed her a dozen times before escaping.
His entire body goes numb, limp. Like he’s paralyzed. His dad? He feels light, like he could just float away at any second. He sits down in a metal chair by the door and stares at the stacks of hot dog buns.”
...his arms were like steel. He slowly squeezed the breath out of me. I could not breathe. Suddenly he was jerked backward and flung on the ground." (Lee 262).
I had never known, never even imagined for a heartbeat, that there might be a place for people like us.” And it sounds so redemptive after all the misery and confusion that has come before, and because we are given no more access to our narrator’s future it is easy to read it in such a way—that is, after all, how we mostly expect
Rikki then, slightly annoyed raced off again to go kill Nagaina. Rikki knew this was a risk to lose his leverage over Nagaina, but if he failed he would have to fight two cobras, and Rikki just couldn’t fight two cobras and win. As Rikki arrived at the bungalow he saw Nagaina inching towards Teddy, ready to strike. “Nagaina, stop right where you 're at!” Rikki yelled, ready to fight.
You can feel the adrenaline thrusting through your veins as if a goliath was hammering your heart. The blood flowing to your brain causes you to have a crippling headache, the doors open to the lone darkness. The bright lights cause your sight to derail into an epileptic sprawl, the next time you open your eyes the man below is bleeding to death, gasping for any air or hope that might be left. He’s lost half his limbs and most of his blood, his bloody hand on your sleeve loses its strained grip and you seem him lose all faith in his soul. This man died in an accident caused from him not stopping for an incoming train, believing he could beat it.
The condition he is experiencing could come from the rope snapping his neck and his body is shutting down. He sees stars, hears muffled voices, and loses the feeling in his legs. The foreshadowing of these is the board dropped beneath him, his fall to his death. The vision of stars and muffled voices could be the last few moments of his brain
In conclusion, the narrator realizes that he should be himself because there will always be more people he will love and hobbies he will care

He than takes a trip to a past, where he tries to learn his lesson, of how he became the person he is today. The narrator begins to change as Robert taught him to see beyond the surface of looking. The narrator feels enlightened and opens up to a new world of vision and imagination. This brief experience has a long lasting effect on the narrator. Being able to shut out everything around us allows an individual the ability to become focused on their relationships, intrapersonal well-being, and
As shadows block his path, left right, all directions were blocked, by Kendrick. “In life, there’s change yet in change, there also is life”. Pausing, he continues, “All I want you to learn is that you must accept, to improve & grow stronger, don’t change yourself, but I’m telling you, to accept yourself by letting go of leagues but to focus on being true with the present and not replicate the past. Change is inevitable, but to grow into a better change – is indeed something else”. Sighing, he mutters to himself, blaming & indicting himself, Kristopher was lost.
The narrator then understood the significant life lesson by saying “My eyes were still closed .I was in my house. I knew that. But I didn’t feel like I was inside anything. It’s really something.” (Carver,
