CHAPTER 5 RESULT
5.1 GENERAL: - In the present work different additives are used in different percentage to stabilize the soil. Following are result which comes after the completion of experimental work.
5.2 EFFECT OF ADMIXTURE ON LIQUID LIMIT OF SOIL: -The Liquid Limit (LL) of soil is defined as the water content at which the behavior of soil changes from plastic to liquid. It is the minimum moisture content at which a soil flows upon the application of very small force. LL of soil is 36.7%. Graph 5.1 shows the effect of admixture on LL of soil. It is the moisture content at which the soil changes from plastic state to semi solid state. PL of soil is 24.58%. Graph 5.2 shows the effect of admixture on PL of soil. Graph 5.2 Effect of admixture on plastic limit of soil; PL of soil when lime, cement, lime + fly ash and cement + lime is used as admixture is continuously increases and becomes 42.21%, 45%, 46.16% and 43.55% respectively at 10% of their content. The Plastic Limit of soil for fly ash and fly ash + cement is regularly decreases to 29.58% and 37.09% respectively at 10% of their content.
5.4 EFFECT OF ADMIXTURE ON PLASTICITY INDEX OF SOIL: Plasticity index (PI) of soil is defined as the difference of liquid limit and plastic limit. It is the measure of plasticity of soil. It is the measure of the size of the range of water content where the soil exhibits the plastic property.
PI of soil is 12.12%. Graph 5.3 shows the effect of admixture on Plasticity index of soil.

The first source which will be evaluated in depth is Eric Foner’s book “Free Soil, Free Labor, Free Men: The Ideology of the Republican Party before the Civil War” which was published in oxford in 1995. The purpose of this book is to analyze the civil war and evaluate the ideas of the early Republican Party. The author talks about how “free soil, free labor, free men” did not really apply for most Americans, and especially not blacks. The slogan refers to the belief that slavery was undemocratic, and the territories without slavery (free soil, free labor, free men), were morally and economically superior. The origin of this source is valuable because Eric Foner has served as a professor of History in City College from 1973 to 1982.
How the landscape and soil shape middle, new england and southern colonies New England ; the Soil in the New England region is quite rocky, hilly, and shallow. It made England hard to plant and export cash crops England was by the Atlantic ocean. The land in New England was shaped by glaciers. During the Ice Age, thick sheets of ice cut through the mountains. Glaciers pushed rocks and rich soil south.
Karla Negrete Mrs. McCaleb History 11.3 19 September 2017 On Native Soil On September 11, 2011 many events happened that changed American’s life forever. In my opinion I believe that this event could have been prevented if only the government would be well prepared. Three reasons that would support my claim would be: the lack of miscommunication,
In a certain sample sent in Mindanao State University, Iligan City for SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) test, results show that the bacteria reacted from the water of the soil which produces chemical reaction and affects the physical attribute of the soil. Image below shows that a limestone like structure really exists in the soil where Bio-Vege Grout was injected. Figure 7 shows the image without grout being magnified 1000 times its normal appearance. There are voids in the middle and the soil is not compact. There is no presence of the limestone like particle.
The Earth has been creating many amazing things for centuries which can be found all over the world and has many parks dedicated to these amazing landmarks. These parks can just be normal parks with amazing views or just being a serene place to relax. Some parks however can be seen as being human made and can be just as fascinating as the ones that are natural. While these things can be similar they can also be very different to this will be the focus of this essay and how they can be similar or just different. Each paragraph is focused on a compare and contrast of each subject which is Normal natural parks versus The Newark Earthworks.
This shows that the fertilizer also has macronutrients other than water and phosphorus which can be useful for plant growth. This experiment is successful since the results obtained
My overall reaction to the narrative when I read And of Clay Are We Created was a sense of heartbreak. It was heartbreaking to watch Carle battle with PTSD and Azucena clinging on the tire for dear life while the bodies of her dead relatives held onto her feet. I would say that the story's overall tone is restless. In essence, the narrator walks us through her actions and inner thoughts so that we may understand what is occurring to Azucena and Carle. The lover of the narrator, Carle, is so intensely concerned that she wants to learn as much as she can about the situation.
Based on these results, it is hypothesized that if the amount of topsoil increases by 25% then plant growth increases because topsoil contains essential nutrients required for proper plant
ABSTRACT- Peat soil is one of the problematic soil that need to be studied in order to seek solution to improve its strength. This can be done through stabilization techniques. In this study, combination of chemical stabilization and fiber reinforcement are chosen. Chemical stabilizer used is Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and the fiber is taken from car waste tyre (Polyester).
Soil erosion happens more frequently on a larger scale when there is little vegetation on land. Plants shield the rainfall impact and splash, thus letting the water spread slowly into the soil and reducing the rainfall impact. The plant type is crucial in order to have the least amount of soil erosion. Plants that have fibrous root are known to be one of the best kinds to reduce soil erosion such as the grass. During a rainfall, soil erosion is evident and is concerned more.
Aim: To determine if the condition of the Reddam House Wetland is suitable for use by the Reddam House Students. Hypothesis: The wetland will be safe for the use by Reddam House students as there have been no cases of illness due to hazardous soil or water etc or any contact with the wetland and there is a vast number of fauna and flora breeding and growing in the wetland. Test 1- Testing the Ph of a soil

Soil P exists in various chemical forms including inorganic P (Pi) and organic P (Po) which differs in their behavior and fate
Because this lime is fixed in the soil and is not available for other reactions, the process has been referred to as lime fixation (Hilt and Davidson, 1960). The lime fixation point corresponds with the point where further addition of lime does not bring about further changes in the plastic limit. This therefore is the optimum addition of lime needed for maximum modification of the soil. Beyond this point excess lime can only produce cementitious compounds, which bind the flocculated particles and develop extra strength (Al-Rawas et al. 2002; Bell, 1996; Mathew and Rao, 1997).
