The Age of Exploration was a time of great expansion in the European Countries. From Africa, to North and South America, the Spanish, Dutch, English and French were all competing to find new trade routes, new commodities, and new areas to convert to their religion. The Age of Exploration had a tremendous impact on Europe, the Americas, and Africa. On one hand, Europe was able to expand widely across the world spreading their culture. On the other hand, the Americas were discovered and had their original culture changed immensely. Finally, Africa suffered from a loss of culture and no longer had trust in others. The Age of Exploration was a time when Europe was able to expand immensely across the world, implementing their culture while doing so. In doing so, European countries caused a very significant problem of creating tensions with other countries. Europe was in the process of developing a widespread trade route. These ships that were deployed out on the said trade routes obtained many priceless spices including cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and others. In 1599 the Dutch sent out 8 ships, only four arrived back after the fourteen month journey (Doc. 8). The amount of ships that were sent on the voyage to get these items displayed that they were of great value and importance. Portrayed by the products and varying greatly, it developed a larger and more diverse amount of jobs for those in Europe. Even with the newly created job opportunities it still would have been difficult to cover up the losses,

This time period was one that affected widely and greatly spreading from the Americas to Europe to Africa. These three continents were all largely affected in a spectrum of different ways. This period changed the way other countries saw one another, created tensions, and changed civilizations from their original structure to something completely new, like every historical time period
