Caylee Anthony was reported missing July 15th, 2008. She had been last seen June 16th, 2008. The mother of Caylee Anthony is Casey Anthony. The day Caylee Anthony went missing, Casey claims to have gotten off of work to go pick 2 year old Caylee Anthony up from her nanny’s house. But when she got there none was home. No evidence of Caylee or the nanny. Casey reports to police that she used other means of sources to find Caylee. 31 days later she was reported missing. Casey Anthony did all of this to her daughter, the lies she used to distract investigators, it is all in the facts. Casey Anthony lived a young and restless life. She clearly did not want Caylee because it would interrupt her party life. Casey did not want the responsibility
Also, Grand Jury indicted Casey for aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter, and four counts of providing false information. Since she was found guilty, she now faces the death penalty. Casey appeared before a judge and was also charged with a capital crime then places in protective custody at the Orange County Jail. When Anthony’s bond was denied, she then hired Defense Attorney, Jose Baez. There were four hundred parts of evidence.
Casey Anthony age thirty-one is found not guilty for killing her two year old daughter. Casey Anthony should have been found guilty because of these three reasons: Anthony’s mother Cindy was the one to call the cops when Caylee went missing instead of Casey, the cops found chloroform on Caylee’s body and in her trunk, and it is known that Casey didn’t want her daughter to begin with. There is enough substantial evidence to prove that Casey Anthony is guilty for the murder of her daughter. Caylee Anthony was born on August 9, 2005 and reported missing on July 15, 2008. Casey told several falsehoods to detectives including that Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny on June 9th, and that she had been too frightened to alert the authorities.
The death of Caylee polarized two separate groups. Groups outraged by Casey Anthony’s acquittal of first degree murder supported the idea of Caylee’s Law. Those in support of a new law believed Casey played a vital role in her daughter’s death, due to her inconsistent alibies and not reporting her daughter’s disappearance to proper authorities. Ms. Crowder, of Oklahoma, started the Caylee’s Law petition online at Change.org, because like many others, she viewed Caylee’s case as tragic and saw no reason for another case like that to occur again. Supporters irritated by the lack of legal guardianship oversight of a two-year-old child, wanted others, legal guardians, to be accountable for children under their
More importantly, a mother who is broken by their child disappearance would not refrain from sharing their pain with family and close friends. However, Casey Anthony did not show any of these emotions when her two-year-old daughter was gone. In fact, she was not even the person who reported her missing to the emergency operator. Also, Casey fabricated false information to law enforcement officers who sole missing was to bring back Caylee. Casey’ demeanor and her unwillingness to help locate her daughter gave signs that she was a mother who did not care too much for her child.
When asking her daughter, Casey, where Caylee was she made many different excuses before finally admitting that she had not seen Caylee in weeks. Police suspected that Casey was responsible for the death of Caylee and after an investigation, Casey was charged
Casey had no other excuses and more evidence began to pile up against her. George Anthony took the stand and told the jury of a time not long before Caylee’s disappearance when Casey and her boyfriend broke into the shed out back at his home stole gas cans. One of the gas cans stolen had a special kind of duct tape on it which was not found in very many places. To seal the deal, that special duct tape had been removed when Casey returned the cans and was later found on Caylee covering her mouth
According to the article, the police officer who interviewed Casey, "noted the unemotional nature of Casey's behavior towards the loss of her child and claimed that she did not give any indication that she was legitimately worried about her child's safety" (Melich, 2008). In October 2008, Casey was found guilty as a first-degree murder.
Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony's mother, was called to testify. She testified in her daughter's defense and took responsibility for some of the chloroform searches. The computer searches were key to the prosecution's claims of premeditated murder, an essential element for first degree murder and the possibility of the death penalty. “Baez said in closing arguments, I told you she was a liar the first day.(abc news.2017)” Casey killed that Caylee by drugging her, but she got away with
Casey Anthony “Smell of Death” In the summer of 2008, Casey Anthony daughter Caylee Anthony was last seen on June 16, 2008. No one knows where she was nor did Casey report that her daughter was missing. Time went by with no sign of Caylee reappearing. Casey’s mother called and reported that her granddaughter was missing and that Casey’s car smelled like a dead body had been in there.
Baez also says that Caylee drowned in the Anthony family pool on June 16, 2008, and that George and Casey Anthony covered up the death.” (Trial Fast Facts) The defense claims that the traces of chloroform found in the trunk occurred while covering up Caylee’s drowning. The prosecution argued that Anthony was a party girl, and unconcerned about her daughter. They stated that Anthony was responsible for the death of
Have you ever wondered if a murder case has the same outcome as every other murder case? The answer to that question is no. The reason for this is because each case has different outcomes depending on certain topics throughout the trial. These topics include the trial setup, the evidence presented, the society attitude, and the important events that took place while the case was occurring. After comparing two different murder cases, the West Memphis Three trial and Casey Anthony trial, one can learn that the influences happening throughout the society and how well the evidence is presented will help predict the outcome of the case.
When police investigators searched through her records and computer history, they found something odd, her history consisted of searches like “How to make chloroform” and “Neck breaking” so why would she look this stuff up for no intentions? What’s worse is that, large amounts of chloroform appeared to be found in Casey’s car, the evidence is all there, yet she was found not guilty! This is absurd. When George, (Caylee’s father) received a notice that his car was being towed, he noticed
Case Gone Wrong: Anthony vs State of Florida Case No. 5D11-2357 If ever there was a botched case it was this one with inconsistencies on the part of the State being overwhelming. I watched this trial intently and read everything available.
The parents checked on their children every thirty minutes. However, when Madeleine 's mother came to check on her at 10:00 pm, she was missing. This left many people wondering about what could have happened to Madeleine. The first theory is Madeleine 's parents murdered her in the apartment. The second theory is an unknown man kidnapped her.
In this case the only obstacle the prosecutors had was prove that Caylee Anthony was murdered by her own mother, they had to prove beyond reasonable doubt to the jury that she was behind her daughter’s death. Most of the evidence that was presented was in fact pointed to Casey Anthony as the person who was fully liable for her daughter
