The sport I chose to observe was college football. I decided to chose this sport because football is a sport my family enjoys to watch. Also I enjoy watching football more than any other sport because there is so much that could happen, in football many unexpecting plays could happen, and each game is different than the last one. The game I chose to watch was a college football game between the University of Notre Dame and the University of Miami that took place at the University of Miami on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The game started with Miami kicking the ball to Notre Dame. The first touchdown was 2nd down and goal it was Miami’s ball and player 8 on Miami’s team caught the ball in the endzone. Then Miami made the extra point kick making the score Miami 7-0. In the first quarter 3rd down and 6 …show more content…
Then 2nd down and goal Miami makes another touchdown along with the extra point kick leaving the score at Miami 34-0. Something else that happened was Miami sacked Notre Dame’s quarterback. In the third quarter 3rd down and 4 yards to go, it was Notre Dame’s ball and they make their first touchdown of the game along with a two-point conversion leaving the score at Miami 34-8. At the beginning of the fourth quarter Miami attempts a field goal but does not succeed in making it. Notre Dame fumbles the ball and Miami recovers it on the 2nd down and 10 yards to go. The last touchdown was made by Miami 4th down and goal along with the extra point kick leaving the final score at Miami 41-8. While watching this game I learned about how the downs and yards work. A team gets four downs and they try to make ten yards in those four downs if they do that the downs reset back to one down and the team tries to make another ten yards or into the endzone depending on where the ball is. A fun fact about college football is the first game took place on November 6, 1869 between Rutgers University and
A possible game-winning drive ended at the 17-yard line for host Pacific in a 28-24 loss to the University of Dubuque on Saturday at Hanson Field. The Spartans (2-0), who traveled 1,965 miles for the contest, rallied from a 14-point halftime deficit to come away with the win over the host Boxers. Facing a three-point deficit, 24-21, Dubuque quarterback Conor Feckly completed a 43-yard touchdown pass to Najee Toomer on a 4th and 12 play for the eventual game-winning touchdown. Twice, on the drive, the Boxers defense forced a fumble by Feckly but the Spartans came away with the loose ball to continue the drive. Pacific (0-2) scored 24 unanswered points in the second quarter to overcome an early 14-point deficit to the visitors from the Hawkeye state.
Abbas Miski almost got over the line for the Bears, but on the next play winger Joe Burgess scored in the left corner to open the account for the Bears. Norths went on the attack again and looked like scoring until Omar Slaimankhel intercepted and ran 80 metres until Eli Levido ran him down in a tackle that would have made Scott Sattler proud. There were some physical collisions throughout the
Football DBQ The Ely Tigers versed the Dillard Panthers. They had an instant win at the end of their football game. They don’t know if it was a lucky catch or if it was a skilled catch. From reading through all of these documents from the story, they proved that Donnell Wilson caught the winning touchdown because it was a clean catch, didn’t have a penalty, and he caught it across the touchdown line.
When the Vikings got their first touchdown they broke the tie at 7-0 at the
It was six o 'clock at the Friendswood junior high mustang field I was playing strong safety and I had to cover the extra receiver they brought out by the snap I was already beating my man and the next thing I know the ball was sailing my way straight to me. I am 13 years old and I am on the Friendswood junior high C-football team I am a second string slot receiver and starting strong safety
An incredible pass from Matt Ryan, the Falcons’ quarterback, was caught by the tight end Austin Hooper. Matt Ryan showed to be worthy in the position of the quarterback considering this was his first Super Bowl. The Patriots on the other hand weren't having a great run, especially when their star quarterback, Tom Brady, was intercepted by Robert Alford with less than 3 minutes left in the first half. This game was the highlight of Alford’s career as he managed to trot 82 yards unopposed.
After a lengthy review, the play was reversed from a catch to an incomplete pass because when James stretched for the goal line and contacted the ground, the ball moved and therefore
The Falcons scored touchdowns through Devonta Freeman and Austin Hooper before Robert Alford picked off Brady for an 82-yard interception score. The Patriots could only muster a Stephen Gostkowski field goal to go into halftime 21-3 down.
Grade: B- The game that looked hopeless, turned into one for the ages in Gator Football History. Before we delve into how this young, developing offense was able to make history, lets talk about the heart this entire team displayed. I talked with a current starter on offense and he said "We are working hard". I know that might sound cliche, generic, bland etc.
By the time it it was halftime, Buffalo actually lead 13-6. When they came out of that locker room, though, it fell apart. Their Super Bowl dreams crashed, and soon the game was over and Buffalo didn’t win. They lost 30-13.(Mcginn 215) It is the last time their team went to the Super Bowl.
In the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 36, and the score tied 17-17 against the heavily favored St. Louis Rams or “The Greatest Show On Turf.” The Rams were heavily favored with the big four who consisted of Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Issac Bruce, and Tory Holt. They were facing off against the 2nd year quarterback who barely even made the NFL, Tom Brady. With one minute and 21 seconds left in the fourth quarter and the Patriots on their own 17 yard line with no timeouts. All year long Brady had been relying on his running back and defense.
The tigers took the win 22-19. Cam threw for 278 passing yards with one interception. One of the best games of his college career. This game was Cams last game as a college athlete. In the 2011 Football season Cam threw for 2854 total career yards, and rushed 1473 yards.
The Cardinals shut down the Rams 43-21. In the 7th game, against the expansion Dallas Cowboys, he grabbed a 40-yard touchdown from quarterback Billy Wade. The Rams won 38-13 and finished
They end up throwing so many touchdowns against the Browns and the score ends up being 45-40 with a packers win and they made it to the super bowl. Then later that week they had to play the Dallas Cowboys to win the super bowl. It was the super bowl and it was the Cowboys ball and they ran it and a guy got smoked and flew all the way into the crowd and was out for the rest of the game. Since the guy that got injured was out and their best player the Cowboys then had no chance against the packer.
but the ball was slippery for the quarterback and he keep on stumbling with the ball and he kept on fumbling but we tried to still get the ball back and they still got it back. They threw the ball right over us and there wide receiver caught the ball Still and we tried to play defense and we got beat every time.
