I have been thinking about the question you asked... "Describe an event or experience in your life and how it will influence your academic work and goals at Colorado Christian University?"... for a week now. I couldn 't think of any particular event in my life except for last year when I was recovering from a dislocated ankle. It was really hard for me to stay positive during that time because I went from a very active lifestyle to being stuck in a bed. When I went into the E.R. they were concerned that I had a compound fracture in my ankle due to the fact that I had a deep cut. They said it was one of the worst dislocations they had seen and that I needed surgery the next morning. After the surgery my doctor told me that when I dislocated it I …show more content…
The longer I was sitting in my bed the more I thought about my life and where I was and how unaccomplished I felt. That 's when I came to the conclusion that I wanted to go back to school and get my degree. I realized that I had the self motivation and determination that it takes to finish what I had started. After spending much time researching different Colleges and Universities online programs and requesting information I received your email. After that first contact and our back and forth communictions some progress was made. Unfortunatly at the same time due to the fact that I was dealing with my physical therapy I wasn 't able to make the deadlines for enrollment. I was also job hunting again, taking care of my Mother after she broke her foot and my Grandfather passing away my further education was put on hold. Then I received the email regarding the scholarship give away which I decided to take advantage of. When you followed up with me on my entry taking the time to continuing your sharing of information about Colorado Chirstian University I know it was time to invest in my future education. An appointment was made where you told me how your acedemic courses and studies work and what I needed to do to get things

Never would they have imagined going to school let alone attending college but because of them I was able to attend school, graduate high school, and attend college. Because of them I had the amazing opportunity to be born in one of the greatest countries in the world and study to become anything or anyone I wanted to be. Because of them and with the help of the Clark Construction Field Scholarship I am able to pursue a degree in Special Elementary education with a minor in Human services and speech pathology and audiology. Without being awarded the scholarship for the past two years my parents and I wouldn’t be able to afford tuition and I wouldn 't be able to pursue a degree. I am not sure what the future may hold for me
Everyone has events in their lives that have significant impacts on them. These particular events are what help shape people into who they are. In my life, one of these events was when I committed to play baseball at Mississippi State University. This event has caused important changes in my baseball career, social life, and my academics. North.session1.reflection I attempted taking business coarsest at a online secular college while trying to be a team owner operator with my husband hauling oversized Frieght with my husband. That seemed to me at the time like it would be a piece of cake. Well between just not having the available required free time, and having the steady required internet connection, I had way too many other demands and distractions, and I was bottom line, spreading myself too thin and shorting myself the necessary time to really study and apply myself as much as I thought I would be able to, which in turn, became extremely overwhelming and discouraging. To top it all off, my mother and my husband’s both, health took a turn for the worst which added to my responsibilities, as well as

I started my first year of college with my life planned out. I had a ridiculous notion that everything was going to be a piece of cake. I was going to join different clubs, do lots of research, make the dean’s list, make my parents proud and attend as many parties as I could. However, now when I look back, I realized that I was too comfortable in my life. I thought I was ready to overcome every obstacle that was thrust upon me
My journey consisted of many good and bad times, and throughout the years I discovered my strengths and weaknesses. I made new friends, took on different tests, accomplished many things. My first year was my most difficult, being new to the school, but as the years went by, school became a more fun experience for me. Knowing that the 4 years of high school was a journey for me, I was able to brace myself for the difficult times to come and the rewards I was going to receive. At the end of the journey, I had gained a lot from these 4 years, but it also prepared me for my next journey, my journey through university.
Personal Narrative Essay Believe it or not, sometimes a gracious action can bring a huge influence on a person. When I read the introduction that instructor Heller wrote, there is a sentence she wrote: “Sometimes the most influential moments in our lives are smaller moments, events that we may not recognize as influential until years after the experience.” For some reason, I related to it strongly. My story is about my high school experience. Also, I will share some significant moments in my life, and how these smaller moments changed my personality.
