Eric LeGrand is a former American football defensive tackle who played college football at Rutgers. He was born on September 4, 1990, Avenel, Woodbridge, NJ. He has twenty-five years of age and is paralyzed from the neck down due to an injury that occurred in football. This injury occurred in October of 2010 while attempting a tackle on the football field when he was twenty years old. I believe that his family, peers and coach would describe him as a strong and courageous person with determination that he will get back to his past self and continue to strive for his goals. On Saturday, October 16, 2010 the football team Rutgers Scarlet Knights would go head to head with the Army Black Knights. The game took place in the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. …show more content…

Advances in science and technology have enabled Eric to regain abilities that he had before the accident. He is now able to move his wheelchair, before he could not because he did not have the ability to move his arms. Technology has given her hyy im many new abilities that he sadly lose during the accident.
If I could ask Eric LeGrand one question it would be, "If this accident did not occur, then what would you be doing? Would you have completely different outcomes then what is now?”
Eric LeGrand 's philosophy is one word, Believe. The word believe means to accept (something) as true or feel sure of the truth of. My definition of believe is, to have confidence in something that will happen or that will exist; Awaiting a specific outcome.
The future in my mind is going to be a world overfilled with outstanding technology and with unbelievable inventions. Everything more advanced. During the week when I first heard about Eric LeGrand, I pictured what he could look like in the future. It sounds crazy but, I expect him to just have robotic like body from the neck down. If that does not happen I am hoping for the best for Eric and hoping that he will regain the ability to walk and use his hands
