Romeo & Juliet Critique William Shakespeare created the play, The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet, in the late 1500s in which two teen agers that fell in love and took their lives. By using irony , Shakespeare demonstrated hurried love lead you to terrible consequences. Shakespeare’s play is full of dramatic ,irony ,situational irony ,verbal irony. For an example he demonstrates situational irony when it took death to bring the families together. This is ironic because the audience wouldn't expect the teens to kill themselves for their families to stop fighting and come together .
