Introduction
The picture of a city is exhibited through the experience of the inhabitants, who live in and encounter the events and happenings within the urban fabric, which changes with the changing time. ¬The urban fabric, the physical aspect of urban footprint, emphasizes building types, open spaces and streetscapes. Through the urban fabric, the fundamental relationship between buildings, open spaces and roadway system can be studied in a comprehensive approach. So, there is difference in usage of the inside space and the outside space, the transition zone becomes a representation of coexistence and co-dependence of internal and external areas. The frontage of the individual or dwellers building creates a barrier or obstruction for sight into the dwellers private space and also acts as a character to the streetscape. However individual or the dweller impose a right to view the streetscape and exerting the influence over the common space. The street has wide range of characters which enhance the beauty of the street. The landscape elements have influenced to have a good image of the space. The avenues or the boulevards have different nature which emphasizes the different character of the street. These characters create a sense of empathy between user and space. The physical environment of the street which includes the physical elements like the roadways, the buildings, sidewalks, landscape elements, etc., creates an identity or exhibits the essence of the street or the space and enhance the image of the city.
