The style of comedy that appeals the most to me is satirical comedy. I enjoy the way it takes everyday human fallacies and puts it in a form of comedy that is both jocular and insightful, rather than a type of comedy that would be more seemingly obvious such as low comedy. For example, in the very popular show Family guy, the main characters use satirical comedy to bring forward problems in society that may seem malicious or offensive to some audiences, but make valid points about critical issues in human nature and in this current generation. The show has brought forward a long range of issues that include topics such as racism, self-esteem issues, and flaws in the government that have to do with laws, politics, and the penile system.
