Tim Burton is not your average writer. He makes sure that his movies reach out and grab your attention. To some they may be creepy and confusing but they always have a deep meaning to them. He takes imagination to a whole other level. His movies are all very different from each other. There is a certain mystery and edge that makes them stand out from your ordinary children’s story. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory used so many good techniques that really helped you understand the sadness of Willy Wonka. For example, each flashback made it clear that he didn’t have a good childhood. Also the close up on his face right before it would switch to the flashback made it really dramatic. Although the musical performances by the Oompa Loompas brought a lively feel to the movie and the factory itself. Tim wanted us to see the story behind the factory, like what in his childhood made him want it so bad and why he feels he should pass the factory to another owner after so long. …show more content…

With this movie, Burton shows how he can create an animated 3D love story. He also used lots of types of things to symbolize. As crows are used for death and darkness but the butterflies are freedom, love and nature that lives on the Earth. Just as very high lighting (white light) means you are crossing over to heaven or hell. Stop Motion is a technique that Tim has only used in one other movie but has managed to make it work. It takes the movements of each puppet one by one in different frames then at the end putting it together to turn it into a movie.
