CounChances are that you’ve heard a couple of songs from Hank Williams Jr. in your lifetime. But if you don’t know who he is, he is a very notable country singer from Paris, Tennessee. Some of his songs include: Family Tradition, A Country Boy Can Survive, All My Rowdy Friends, and Born To Boogie. These aren 't his only songs, but these are some of his popular ones. While being born in Louisiana, he later moved to Paris and that is where his wife and kids lived. He has many homes, but this is considered his main home. Hank Williams Jr. was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 26, 1949. His father died when Hank was only at the age of 3, nearly 4. His mother had to raise him and his siblings by herself. carried on the legacy of his father by being a country singer too. But Hank didn’t just carry on the tradition, he expanded upon it, had a better career, and became more famous than his father was. Hank’s music was appealing to many people, making him very famous for the area that he was in. This area is the southern region around Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky. He leaves a lasting impact on society and paves the way for new singers to come and take his place when he’s gone. Hank has won plenty of awards in his lifetime. Here are some that he has won: Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals, Academy of Country Music Award for Video of the Year (3 Times), and Country Music Association Award for Music Video of the Year (3 Times). He has won many more but these are just some. His talent has got him 9 awards. Some of these 9, he won multiple times. Hank’s impact is a lasting one. He has carried on the legacy of his father and even done better in my opinion. Everyone may not have that opinion, but it’s mine.
