The declaration of independence is to preserve the people's independence through a form of government that is for the people and has order. This document was supposed to bring freedom and equality for some with no ruler but more of a representative of the citizens to have a fair system. The constitution was when it was more clear of what the peoples rights were in the country. Also it established some duties and obligations that the government can’t break and if they did so then the people that the government is governing can overthrow that same government and build a new government. Then they added the Bill of Rights which are more focused rights between the people and the government though some founding fathers felt it was not needed the Bill of rights was still added to the Constitution. All these factors come into play when forming a government and without the Declaration of independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of rights the government could not form a government for the people with these Men of
fter the Treaty of Paris formally ended the American Revolution and recognized the United States of America as an independent nation, the Founding Fathers were made responsible for creating a government for the United States of America. They initially founded the Articles of Confederation, a weak government, out of fear of a strong, powerful one like Great Britain. Shortly after, however, the Founding Fathers noticed that the Articles of Confederation were failing. An enduring issue that connects to this time period is the enduring issue of conflict because the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation were the root cause of many conflicts between and in the states, as shown in Documents 1 and 2. Documents 1 and 2 both summarize the major flaws of the Articles of Confederation and the many conflicts they sparked.
1.Robertson states the founding fathers were politicians because they understood how to compromise, maintain political support even while conducting unpopular political activities, and balance conflicting demands. This is epitomized in James Madison because even when he did not achieve his whole goal, he still settled for “half a loaf rather than none.” His use of political strategy and willingness to compromise, shows that he and the rest of the founding fathers were not just political philosophers, scientists, or speculators, but politicians. 2.Robertson remarks some of the key reasons the founding fathers were successful in forming a new government is because during the time period they were framing the constitution there were volatile,
The creation of a strong national government from the Constitution was meant to reverse the problems created by the Articles of Confederation. America now had a central government, not just state governments. The central government could now, “collect taxes, raise an army, regulate interstate commerce, etc.” This gave the federal government a lot of power that was nonexistent before.
The Founders had experienced life under the British Crown with its concentration of power in the monarchy and so disliked it that they risked their lives in a rebellion against it. They wanted to ensure that Each branch has its own power and responsibilities and play a significant role in checks and balances and separation of powers in our government and rely on each other to make sure that all of the power is equally
They made sure checks and balances were made with the Document. - (American History.net) Political parties were one of the main things Founding Fathers worried about the most. - (History.com) They decided to start out with no parties for fear of what happened with the 17th century civil war in Britain. - (The English Civil Wars) This did not stop later parties from developing though, eventually there has become to be 2 majority parties today, Democrats and Republicans.
In 1787, the Founding Fathers met in Philadelphia to try to readjust the Articles of Confederation. They ended up making a new Constitution, which created a stronger central government. The Constitution gave Congress the power to tax, and it also made the states required to follow Congress’s decisions. This made the government much more effective, but it also made it more
In 1776, our union is finally independent from Great Britain. Now that our country is an independent nation, our founding fathers are deciding which government system it is going to rule under. Certainly, our founding fathers did not want this country to be rule under a monarchy system because of the conflicts they faced with Great Britain. The founding fathers all sat together at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia to create a new kind of government that will have a minimal amount of problems. At first, the founding father created the Articles of Confederation, which is, each state maintains its own sovereignty and all rights to govern, except there were certain rights that were granted to Congress.
During the Revolutionary war, the leaders of the American colonists thought it necessary to devise a government that would replace the previous British ruling. Their goal was to establish a strong form of government that would give power to the people, representing the same concept that they were fighting for. This would ultimately lead to the creation of the Articles of Confederation. Yet, despite the Founding Fathers' attempt to create a successful national government, The Articles of Confederation were considered a failure, not only because it neglected to give Congress the power to tax, but also for not establishing a strong central government, as well as creating a problem when dealing with foreign affairs.
The constitution has created the national government incorporating a legislative, an executive and a judicial branch. In this essay I will discuss core values and beliefs that led to the writing of the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution such as having rights, having to establish a

Their new creation, our Constitution, was then set into place, and was created from a basis of the Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation directly influence the Constitution by its failure by changing some of the responsibilities of the federal and state governments. But sadly in today’s society most people either have forgotten the things they did for us, or they just do not care. The founding fathers were great men who led this country to victory in war and on the political front. And often early U.S. history is portrayed as moving smoothly for the colonies turning into the a country of its own , but in reality it was just the opposite. George Washington our first president had problems figuring out ways to control the new nation as it progressed under his leadership.
