So does John Proctor the guy who changes somewhat, Abigail Williams who changes the people that surround her, and John hale who changes very dramatically throughout the book. John Proctor is the very first person that changed in the play. He’s a mental suffering individual who is egotistical. But is also a member of the the puritans religion, which is a community center among their beliefs.Which may change some things but not dramatically. Proctor is a egotistical type of person because he will do anything to protect his concern with abigail. At this point of time Proctor tries to get rid of Abigail’s mind of their matter that they touched. But then when William tries to bring back the truth, proctor hit him with the line “Aye, but we did not.” He will do anything to keep his problems undercover.
