Impact Of Visual Art On Zimbabwean Society
Abstract.
The following is a study on Zimbabwean visual art and its trends, cultures and its role in the society. The effects it produces and the works as well.
Does Zimbabwean art reflect Zimbabwean traditions, morals ethics and way of living? And does it impart knowledge from generation to generation and also is it a means to capture societies history and secrets. Zimbabwe is rich in culture but since the advent of technology and to due colonization there has been a high level of diminishing in culture and dilution. I will explore the visual arts, its history and its relation with society. Highlighting on its impact on Zimbabwean society.
Introduction.
The pivot of this study circles around the community of Zimbabwe a country in the southern region of Africa and its contemporary visual arts scene. Here various forms of visual art will be scrutinized and juxtaposed with art from other zones on the continent and beyond and questioned on how these relate to their societies using field studies, observations and studies.
