Street food prices are bigger at night than during the day. Take care of parents and siblings. Thais try to do everything to provide for family. If it's needed, Thai women will raise children for siblings, sons and daughters. Some girls from hill tribes will even became prostitutes to support their parents financially. Enjoy. Thais have the term «sanuk», which means joy, fun, pleasure. Thais try to get as much sanuk as possible. Bosses of foreign companies often can't adapt to the Thai necessity of having sanuk at work. Don't make schedules and plans. Western people tend to have more fixed schedules — like eating three times a day — and in Thailand it often looks foolish. Don't expect the return of a security deposit. A friend says that «as of this writing, there haven't been any cases of a security deposit returning” by a Thai landlord.
