It is a great honor to be nominated as a member of the National Honor Society. There are many reasons why I want to take part in NHS. One reason why I want to be in it is to continue to grow academically with people who have the same goals as me. I want to be encouraged, not discouraged by the people around me. I was delighted after receiving the letter informing me I was eligible to become part of the National Junior Honor Society. It would be a privilege to be accepted into such a prestigious group as the one listed. The NJHS is known for helping students learn leadership skills and unlock their full potential and I firmly believe that I would love to be a part of it. Being the fun loving people person that I am I have no problem working with other kids and or adults. I have many qualities that I would love to contribute to the

National Junior Honors Society needs people who are hard working, and are ready to get the job done. I should be considered to be in National Junior Honors Society because I show scholarship and leadership, I have done many community service activities, and I show character and citizenship.

Being one of the few who is eligible to be chosen for National Honor Society is an honor in itself, I have my teachers and peers to thank for helping me keep a positive attitude and a good character in and out of school. With the constant encouragement that I get from them, my character, scholarship and leadership all keep improving. I am hoping that by being chosen to be in NHS I can add serving the community and helping those in need to my list of improving qualities. Since the ninth grade when I was informed about NHS I was determined to keep my grades up to meet the required GPA, retaking exams when needed and paying close attention in my classes. Being a candidate for the National Honor Society is a tremendous honor for me. Since I began high school, it has been a goal of mine to be a part of this amazing organization. Being involved in my school and community has always been important to me, and any chance I get to further my involvement is great. I believe that NHS is the perfect opportunity for me to serve others and help better our community. I understand that a member of NHS shows qualities of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Throughout my life I have valued these qualities and shown them in many ways.

Recieveing this letter that I was inducted to be in the National Junior Honor Society made my heart beat faster than I’d ever keep track of, knowing that I was more of a gifted student. Every heart beat was building up my stimulation about this honor, telling me that I demonstrate scholarship, citizenship, character, leadership, and service. To know that I have all of those traits in me makes me feel more of a part of this society, and has made me begin to realize the considerable things that I’ve done. This oppertunity is great for me because I can expand my inner and outer school activities to show what great things I do in my time.

I am sincerely honored and excited to be considered for membership in the National Honor Society (NHS). I believe NHS’s ideals are qualities needed to succeed in both high school and in life. I have learned in order to maximize my personal growth, it is important to dedicate myself to, not only grades, but to leadership, service, and community. Other qualities I utilize daily are respect and humility towards others and towards myself. Prioritizing is paramount to be well-rounded as I balance high honors, varsity team sports, work and community service. These attributes have helped lead me to my academic achievements and service to others. I believe that my character is defined by these qualities which is what is ultimately presented to others and the community through my attitude and actions.

I am extremely honored to be eligible for this opportunity to apply for the National Honor Society. Becoming a member of the National Honor Society has been a goal I set for myself since I was a student in middle school. I have been greatly looking forward to this moment for a very long time. Overall, I have worked incredibly hard these last two years to display a positive character and obtain qualities such as leadership, responsibility, and scholarship. I strongly believe I will be a productive and reliable member of the National Honor Society at Harvard H. Ellis Technical High School.

Today I am deeply humbled to be recognized as a potential member of the National Honor Society. To me this means I have exemplified everything you look for in a student who goes above and beyond, not just in academics but in athletics, the community and at home as well. I have not taken this selection for granted, as I believe would be a great asset to the National Honor Society. I am hardworking, honest, reliable and quite charismatic too. I hold all the qualities required by the distinguished NHS like leadership, service, character and scholarship. Often time I see myself living by the quote “See the world not as it is, but as it should be” and I try to, to the best of ability everyday. Being in NHS would give me the chance to live out this quote wholeheartedly and inspire others to do the same.

It is an extraordinary honor to be considered as a candidate for the National Honor Society. Being considered means I have achieved my goal in demonstrating my determination- in school and outside of school- and my willingness to aid people in my community. Being a part of such a prestigious organization is an enormous responsibility to which I will fully devote my time. Ever since I was a freshman, my goal was to work diligently to be among the highest scholars and to be accepted into this scholarly “hall of fame”. Through my relentless hard work and perseverance, I believe that I possess the four characteristics of a National Honor Society member- leadership, service, character, and scholarship.

Every week I spend time at the Morristown Medical Center as a volunteer, where I am able to help keep things functioning in the hospital at the highest speed possible and hopefully brighten a few patients’ days. Also, I’ve enjoyed helping refereeing youth basketball games for the past two seasons and being able to talk with the kids. It is a great opportunity to give back to a program which gave me so much in the five years I played in it when I was younger. Furthermore, I am excited for even more opportunities to have an impact on my community which being a part of National Honor Society would aid in.

I greatly appreciate my nomination to be considered for induction into the National Honors Society. I would be honored to join such an organization as it would not only provide opportunities for myself, but also encourages and emphasizes the importance of service to community. Before and during high school, I have been active in serving the community in a consistent way. Other activities I do also influence and shape the way in which I approach service and leadership tasks.

As a student at Catalina Foothills High School, I believe I have lived up to the tenet of service and display ideals that the National Honors Society seek for in a student and citizen in society. If I am granted membership into the society, I believe I can contribute my qualities to the community as a member of Catalina Foothills National Honor Society and demonstrate the highest standards of behavior to represent our school honorably.

I was very honored to know that I qualified as a possible candidate for the National Honor Society. To be honest, I never thought of being in the National Honor Society. Therefore, when I got pulled out of class I immediately thought I had done something wrong. I went home that day and told my mom about it. My mom looked me in the eyes and told me that she was very proud of me and gave me a big hug. Not only was my mom proud, but so was I. I am aware that grades are not the only criterion, but also character, leadership, and service to Waterford Mott High School NHS.

Recently, I received a letter in the mail. This letter contained the rejection of my application into National Honors Society (NHS). I was crushed when I saw the words Immediately I teared up because I had worked so hard on my application. Over the next few days I was angry, sad, confused, and conflicted. Close friends had gotten accepted and I was mad at them for being chosen. Therefore, I was conflicted because I didn't want to be mad at them. They were still my friends despite everything. I was then sad that I wasn't chosen to be apart of NHS. I had thought that my application was almost perfect. Every blank space had been filled with a reason why I was a applicable candidate, my GPA was a 4.0, and I had hundreds of service hours. I asked
