Personal Narrative: Life After Being Deaf
After being deaf for four hours, I have learned to appreciate the simple things in life. My love for music was affected tremendously. Not being able to hear a beat or the angelic sound of my favorite songstress was devastating. My children could not communicate with me because of my disability. That aspect alone was to hard cope with. They had to write everything down to me that they needed, and I in turn, had to do the same. I came to the conclusion after the four hours had ended to never take the simple things for granted, such as being able to hear music or communicate to your loved ones.
