Adolescents are oftentimes blamed for their wrongdoings while adults stand back and show their disapproval. Adults are generally seen as much wiser than adolescents, therefore more likely to make rational choices. However, William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet demonstrates otherwise. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story ending with the two young lovers taking their own lives. Their disastrous end is not to blame on their actions, but rather the unwise behaviour of the adults. The Nurse, Friar Laurence, and Lord and Lady Capulet are to blame for their deaths.
