Juliet wanted to be with Romeo and she would stop at nothing to get him so she went and talked to Friar Lawrence to get a poison that would make her seem dead so she wouldn’t have to marry Paris. Juliet could have just left and been with Romeo there is no difference between her faking her death and leaving. Juliet could have made better choices, but she was too young and hadn’t known any better. Juliet and her parents are not the only reasons behind why the story ended the way it did. They had a lot to do with it, Every character in the play had something to do with why the play ended the way it did.
In the play it says, “In the meantime, against thou shalt awake, shall Romeo by my letters know our drift, and hither shall he come: and he and I will watch thy waking, and that very night, shall Romeo bear thee hence to Mantua.”(4.1.113-117). But, instead Friar Lawrence sent another Friar to tell Romeo his plan, but something had went wrong, the Friar should had waited to give Juliet the potion after he confirmed Romeo about the plan. Also, Friar John flees the Capulet monument when Juliet needed him the most, and the result is her suicide. In the monument, Friar Lawrence attempted to persuade Juliet to go with him and flee the tomb. In the tomb he says, “Stay not to question, for the watch is coming; come, go, good Juliet.
In William Shakespeare 's Romeo and Juliet both the Capulets and the Montagues make several mistakes, but there is one person most responsible. Juliet 's father, Lord Capulet, is most to blame for the events that occurred and for his daughter 's death. Romeo would have never met Juliet if Lord Capulet had kicked him out of the party. In scene 5 of act 1 Tybalt recognized Romeo and instead of dueling him, Lord Capulet said to leave Romeo alone. Even if Lord Capulet thought that Romeo was not going to cause any problems he should have still kicked Romeo out, because he was not invited.
Go tell him of this. I’ll have this knot knit up tomorrow morning” (Shakespeare 4.2). This also shows proof that the parents are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, because if the timing was ulterd, then the plan Friar Laurence and Juliet made would of have had more time time to unravel and take place. There are many faults in the plan. Such as, Friar Lawrence failing to inform romeo that Juliet is not dead and he should retrieve her from the tomb, this is because the messenger got held back.
Comfort me. Counsel me.”(3.5,Line-205), Juliet pictures Romeo dead and taught fate left her when Romeo left, she thinks fate isn’t there but then says, if fate wants me to be with Romeo then he’ll come back. Romeo and Juliet haven 't decided if they believe in fate, they blame it repeatedly, and they are right to blame faith because, if they had free will then they could have stop their death from
If Tybalt knew that Romeo had married Juliet and was now Tybalt’s cousin, then he wouldn't have willingly started a fight. To add on, Tybalt’s death lead to Romeo’s banish, Romeo’s banish lead to Juliet’s and the friar’s scheme to get the lovers together, and that scheme lead to Romeo’s death since he did not receive the letter from Friar Laurence about the plan, and that lead to Juliet’s death. To summarize, Romeo’s reversal of fortune is the death of his loved ones and
Have you ever just wanted to run away or even scream to the top of your lungs? That’s how Juliet felt when everyone was sculpting her life which drove her to want to die, but if I had to blame this on one person it would definitely be Friar Lawrence(William Shakespeare, page 376). Friar never had to give in to marrying Romeo and Juliet,or give the potion and crazy idea to fake Juliet 's death(William Shakespeare, page 453-454).If Juliet didn’t want to marry Paris, then she should have put on her big girl pants and told her parents that she was already married to Romeo and in love.If they were so in love the idea of death for them being together shouldn’t scare them, they both die anyways. If the Friar thought the idea of them being together was worse then he didn’t have to marry them. See in this world we live in you don’t have to do what other people want you to do. Friar deciding not to marry them wouldn’t put him in a death sentence if anything, it would have helped everyone not die.People in Shakespeare 's world are just foolish. Friar Lawrence could have easily went and took the letter to Romeo himself, but instead he had to be lazy and have someone else do it and look it never got done(William Shakespeare, page
Before Romeo and Juliet even got to know each other, they claimed that they have fallen in love. There is only one emotion that can explain that: lust. After Romeo left the Capulets party, Juliet told her nurse to “Go ask his name. - If he be married, / My grave is like to be my wedding-bed” (1.5.132-133). Juliet just claimed she would rather die than to have Romeo be married to someone else.
This strategy would have let Romeo come and sweep her out of death and take them into a new life together. This was a terrible arrangement since the Friar was not completely sure if the potion would put her in a short death-like coma or kill her. The third reason he takes some blame is because he did not get the message containing the layout of the plan to fake Juliet’s death. The Friar should have delivered the course of action or told Romeo in person earlier, before Juliet drank the potion. The fourth and final accusation is that the Friar did not stay in the tomb when Juliet was mourning Romeo’s death.
Had these characters slowed down, there would probably have been a very different story. The first time somebody made a mistake from being in a rush was when Romeo fell in love with Juliet. Romeo and Juliet were from two rival families, the Capulets and the Montagues. These families have a complete hatred towards each other, and have little interaction other
Out, you baggage! You tallow face.” So she was going to have to leave if she did not get marry to pairs which was what her parents wanted her to do. To sum everything up the people I believe are responsible for Romeo and Juliet death are lady Capulet and Capulet and Friar Laurence. They all played a big role. This play had love and hate.
