The Holocaust was a tragedy that happened between 1933 and 1945. Between 1941 and 1945 Nazi took Jews to Auschwitz. The Nazi killed 6 million Jews. Auschwitz was the biggest of many concentration camps. Oscar Schindler was a member of the Nazi party who was credited for saving 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust. Schindler used his influence to gain sway among the Nazis and the Jews he encountered by using his wealth, his charm and his intelligence. Oscar Schindler said that he knew the Jews better when he was trying to convince Amon Goeth to sell him the Jews. It cost Schindler a considerable amount of money to buy the Jews when he finally got Amon Goeth convinced to sell him the Jews. Schindler showed his wealth when he was transporting the Jews. He transported them by train which cost quite a bit to do. He also showed his wealth when he built the Jews a new camp. Shindler always had a drink around him. Schindler wanted to surround himself with some Nazi officials to give him money so he could buy a factory. Schindler said that in return he would give them trade goods. When Schindler acquired one of the factory’s he gave some of the Jew’s jobs. Doing this he protected them from the systematic brutality and arbitrary murder life in concentration camps. This question may run through our minds, but in reality, Adolf Hitler, a Catholic German man who was the head of the Nazi parties decided to get rid of Jews.
