Sex in Movies versus Sex in Real Life By the time we become adults, we’re pretty much aware that not all that happens in movies happens in reality. Those are just make-believe scenarios that can only happen in our fantasies most of the time. And one of those movie-reality discrepancies that continue to proliferate on the screen is sex, or how it happens, rather. If you’re inexperienced, watching sex scenes in movies will really twist the reality of it. In films, sexual activities are always passionate, romantic and exciting without any hint of ugliness. Well, the truth is that there is ugliness in real life sex; awkwardness and messiness, too. But we tend to go around these by making adjustments because we have to.
