Historically, we can see the world is becoming modern industry. Phones have become a necessity, because it is very useful and convenient to people. When we walk on the street we can see the world become dependent on technology, and many advertising board appear on the street. The world has changed. Every product can has a connection to technology such as clothes and food, because the factories have transitioned from the implements of a handicraft to the machinery. The technology is developed, and it improve humans’ life. Karl Marx discuss the development of factory can reducing work, because the machinery is more convenient and efficient, but some people against the machinery. Many factories have also developed, and make use of technology to produce many different types of product, and it can saves a lot of time. The factories that use technology are faster and more effective than the factories that require human labor. In chapter two, Karl Marx stated, “Sixteen of these machines driven by oxen do as much work in a day as formerly 750 people did on an average.” Marx states that technology is clearly more effective than human labor. This is beneficial for companies, because they do not need too depend on the staff and are able to produce more effective results. Also, we can see that it may reduce work and energy for the labor.
The machinery and modern industry also have negative effects, which pertain to the employee. Karl Marx mentioned that the company start the employment of women and children, and pay cheaper salary.
