Challenges Faced By Baby Boomers To Join The Online Revolution

The digital revolution may be changing the way we live and work. Social media provides useful tools for us to have communication with other people from difference area. Baby Boomers have historically been late adopters to the world of technology compared to their younger compatriots, but their movement into digital life continues to deepen. Some of them started off their own business with their bare hands. Baby boomers would like to look after their own business with physical form instead of joining the online revolution. The problems to join the online revolution is mean without a physical business form that is can’t be touch or seen. By that, baby boomers will claim that they are too old for the technology and too late for the new things to learn. Baby boomers user may not trust the site being unknown faceless seller. Such mistrust makes it difficult to make user switch from physical stores to online or …show more content…

Similar to the comfort level of holding the book or newspaper in hands, baby boomer like the traditional way by face to face meeting. Nowadays, we probably use to email or talk on the phone, but in other hand, these communication systems are randomly putting someone meet each other. Individuals may catch a baby boomer after the war discussing how she has been striving for a week to discover a period to get together with a business partner. The millennial may ask, "Why not simply skype with them?" It sounds good to the individual from younger generation. Individuals still get some face to face, regardless of the fact that it is practically. It doesn 't need to plan the time to drive to and from the area.
