Do you know how one of the most famous people died. His name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and he was killed on January 30, 1948 in New Delhi, Indian and was shot to death. His assassinator was Nathuram Godse. He was one of the most famous nonviolent leaders of the world. The assassination of Gandhi was unjust because he was a nonviolent leader, and believed in equal rights for all, but some believe he cause the death of millions.
Gandhi was a nonviolent leader, who lead millions of people on nonviolent protest in India. He followed the path of a pacifist (someone who doesn't fight) and peace which lead him on his path to nonviolence. The article Sue. Mahatma Gandhi said “Gandhi went for 72 hours of no eating for equal rights” (Vander 1). Which shows Gandhi was all for equal rights and freedom for all. He did not eat food for 72 hours, for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre at Amritsar. Also was sent to jail for one of his many protests. But some people thought he caused deaths for millions of people.
Some people say Gandhi got many people killed because they helped him out. But that is not true because people who rebelled with Gandhi did that on there own risk. In the article Mohandas Gandhi it said “many people die from following Gandhi but that is at their own risk” (Ryan James). They wanted their freedom so they followed him on his path to save India. This means Gandhi was not responsible for the people dying. He could not stop his followers from help him. therefore they did for there own free will and to help get freedom from the British people.
The assassination of Gandhi was unjust because he was a peaceful man, believed to in all rights for all and did not cause lots of people to die. He was a very peaceful and did protests for his rights. Believed every should be free and did make people die. He had a good heart and was a leader to the people. In the contents of Document D, it is evident that Mohandas Gandhi was a true utilitarian. We can see this in what he wrote in his letter to Lord Irwin; “I would ... approach you and find a way out. I cannot intentionally hurt anything that lives, much less human beings, even though they may do the greatest wrong to me and mine,” (Document D). This supports the method Mohandas Gandhi used because it undoubtedly shows that with his philosophy of life, he practiced virtuous acts. This means that Gandhi would intentionally take belittlement and beatings from the English soldiers so that he didn't have to harm a single person.
Gandhi was an Indian in a society where British rule was accepted as the norm. Both Gandhi and Antigone also recognized and spoke out against the injustices of their respective societies. In Antigone’s case, it was the oppression of women and the corruption of the leadership. In Gandhi’s case, it was the oppression of Indians under British rule and the discrimination faced by lower castes in Indian society.
In 1922, Gandhi was sentenced to 6 years in prison for sedition. When the court allowed Gandhi to plea, he did not defend himself and he said that he is guilty as charged and will take the most severe punishment. This shows that Gandhi stood up for what he believed in and was able to accept his consequences.
He was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead a few minutes after the attack (Kihss). The assassination of Malcolm X was unjust because he was a great leader who wished for a positive change in American society and was rapidly changing his views to fit a more peaceful stance; however, when he discarded many of the Nation of Islam’s views in favor of more traditional Islamic views, the Nation of Islam believed his new ideals were putting their organization in jeopardy. The Malcolm X’s assassination was sorely unjust because he was a great leader who wished for a positive change in American society.
Gandhi once said, “An eye-for-an-eye makes the whole world blind.” What he meant is that fighting violence with violence helped no one. During his lifetime, Gandhi fought against oppressive British rule in India, and his journey was known throughout the world. Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela both shared Gandhi’s thirst for freedom, basing their respective movements for peace on Gandhi’s. All three men fought peacefully for equality, whether it was for India’s freedom from the British empire, emancipation from apartheid laws that prohibited black Africans from being truly free, or liberation from Jim Crow laws to keep black Americans inferior to whites.

He then served in prison and also contributed for the human immune deficiency virus through charitable all his life he contributed to many good causes but many didn 't like him they thought he was a terrorist.
The first reason Malcolm X’s assassination was unjust is that he worked hard to achieve civil rights for African Americans through increasing the membership in the Nation of Islam. Many people didn 't realize that the Nation of Islam grew because of his leadership. On a website with little-known information about Malcolm X it says “As a result of his efforts, membership in the Nation of Islam grew from only a few hundred at the time of his conversion to about 6,000 in 1955 and then to an estimated 75,000 in the early 1960s. Non-Muslims also took note of his fiery oratory, including author Alex Haley, with whom he would collaborate on his autobiography.”

At the same time, during the 1963, in the united stated Martin Luther King was also taken to jail. Like Gandhi Even though King used non-violence to fix an injustice law he went to jail.
Due to the race inequality along with the economic regulations among the Indian people, Gandhi’s ambition from the beginning of simply just wanting equality between the Indian and British transition to wanting India to become Independence. He wanted to give the Indian citizen a voice in the government and a chance to define their own nation. The Indian people lose their political power in terms of how the British authorities were exercising their power over them, implementing policies according to their own rules and administrating over the Indian’s resources. Gandhi throughout the film had the desire to help gain back India’s political power and it revolves around his method of passive resistance and self-sacrifice. He belief in “an eye for an eye only makes people blind” is what helped him achieve freedom for India without any violence involve.
