“You only live once” is the quote or, for some people, a motivation that inspire and encourage people to do what they want to. Because you only have one life, you have to think more carefully how to live it without any regrets. There are many things that people have to do everyday. Some people can do all what they want to do in this limited time and are satisfied with this life while some people could not. Consequently, people who cannot satisfy their lives think that 24 hours a day is not enough. I think that people cannot complete their missions as they wished mainly because they do not have the clear goal of lives. There is another quote say that “You only live once but if you do it right, once is enough” which remind me that how people manage their life is very important, especially for adults who hold big responsibility for families. Therefore, I think that this article “How Will You Measure Your life?” by Dr. Clayton M. Christensen has presented many interesting topics to answer how can …show more content…
Usually, people treat each other based on their social status which including financial status, work, education, and assets etc. People in superior status consider themselves having high self-esteem, at the same time; they consider others in lower position having less value. Due to this wrong attitude, they become abusive and arrogant toward others. However, Dr. Christensen implied those who are trying to press other down as a symptom of lack of self-esteem. Besides, they will never have chance to get or hear good thinks from others because they have already turn themselves into blind and deaf. On the other hand, if you are a humble person, you will have more chance to interact with others. People will treat you with respect, help and support you when needed. These consequences of being humble will help you, in the future, to achieve goals of your life and being loved by people around
Firstly, our country was founded off of capitalism, which is described as an economic system in which “you eat what you kill”. With this model, it is instinctive to be egotistical, as all of the work that you do, all comes back to you. Egoism is all about self interest and when all of the hard work you do ends up rewarding no one but yourself, self interest is subconsciously breeded. At this point, when self interest is increasing, people are more concerned with treating and helping themselves as opposed to other people.
Having humility is a great thing to have. Even if someone is worse than Someone at something they don't say they are better or push them down. Humility is a very important trait to have. This is the theme that Runs through the story “Raymond's Run” By Toni Bambara because Humility makes you look like a good person. Humility makes you look like you acknowledge people and Humility allows better emotion control.
According to Lencioni (2016), “Humility is the single greatest and most indispensable attribute of being a team player” (p. 157). Humility is a form of integrity. When a team player is humble they do not have egos, neither are they concerned about their status. When a team player is humble, they tend to point out the contributions of others and do not highlight the contribution of their own. The success of the team is collectively not an individual effort.
Humility may be the most difficult quality to learn and maintain. As a society we reward arrogance and “attitude”; and our heroes tend to be loud and brash sports figures, millionaire developers, movie stars, and the like-those kinds of people who don’t know, or don’t want to know what humility is (Marshall,
This domain is made up of the personal relationships we maintain and the different interactions in our daily lives. Interpersonal power dominance is achieved when the people internalize the ideology of inferiority, and by experiencing interpersonal disrespect from members of the dominant group ("Four "I's" of Oppression," n.d.). If someone has been told that they were stupid, worthless, and abnormal; and have been treated this way all of their lives, then it is expected that they would come to believe it to be
Personal Statement A human being has one life and one life only. The older I get the more I realize how precious my time is. An old friend of mine a mechanical engineer who has lived through the prime of his life reflected back on some marvelous experiences he had as a child where his parent would take him every week to watch the trains go by.
When people start to compare themselves to others to show that they are better than them in some way, it is a sign that they are
From this we can see how social classes impact people's views on others. Simon Glass

Hence, a person should live day by day because any day might be their last. When a person is older, they want to look back on what they accomplished and not on what they could have accomplished. People do not want to look back to the past and regret that they did not take the time to pursue an opportunity. They want to look back on the things they did and be proud to tell about the things they achieved. One should spend their day living, at all times.
Living life to the fullest means to look for new experiences. Constantly looking for new fulfilling, exciting experiences will make your life richer. Anything from going to a new restaurant, facing a fear, or traveling to a new place. Traveling and meeting new people creates personal
Humility is often misunderstood and view as weakness, but it’s the opposite. For example, there’s been cases where humble people are often seen in today’s “corporate culture as unassertive, passive types, there’s something truly powerful about them that we can all stand to emulate” (Holmes). Humble people are authentic. They’re not afraid to be themselves. Some people may think that humble people do not disclose who they really are.
Everybody always has dreams in their own life, some dreams are achievable and some are not. People without self-confidence are always scared of chasing dreams because failure is like nightmare in their minds. Nevertheless, those people will never know what did they give up, their crystalline dreams. On the other hand, people with enthusiasm always chase their dream without reasons because they will feel regret if they didn’t try; they may be successful however when they try to challenge themselves. Thus, it is important for people to chase their dreams, challenge themselves and achieve their goals.
I believe people over think this question too much, I mean I get it, the question itself is vague and arises other questions. Even the word "meaning ", makes you think. But if we mean "the purpose of life. Then to me it 's not complex at all.
